Love the video! I really appreciate the Tom defense especially because I often see people being more understanding of Jake's behavior (getting James eliminated, being petty and jealous about Tom's friendship with Aiden, and Ally's friendship with Ashley) because they can view his actions as things that stem from his past experiences and trauma and yet when it comes to Tom, they don't? People seem to forget that Jake was not the only one hurt by the way things ended between them in DC1. Tom's actions (avoiding Jake, lying about a boyfriend) are things that ALSO stem from his trauma and past experiences. Also I'm not trying to paint Jake as the bad guy, this is all coming from someone who likes both characters a lot
Oh my god, thank you for talking about this, people need to realize that Tom was not derailed at all, yes, sadly he wasn't the main focus of the season like Jakester here, but it doesn't really mean anything aside from that, Tomster was always not that socially intelligent, he was just better at hiding it back in s1 because guess what he was a spy, though obviously not full one effective at being one, also by the way, just a side note, he also still loves Jake though it should have been clear by now, what he did to him for the two years and in the game was not out of malice, but rather fear of things going down the same way as it did in s1, but all thanks to Mariam sage of wisdom, he's now gonna try again regardless of what outcome, and he even now made a promise to fix everything up, and I hope for the best for them both here later on even though I know they will probably become a thing again!
Thank god this was finally addressed to people because Tom’s personality barely changed from what it was before. In fact he might’ve been better in all stars but I personally found him more enjoyable in Season 1.

Jared showed on twitter, a video of the Jailbreak challenge on survivor, where one of the contestants, and experienced Girl Scout (The one Lil is based off) made the knots for the stick and it still broke. That goes to show that the tiebreaker could have gone either way independent of how capable Tom was at making Traps and stuff.
I liked that you talked about this topic. The truth is I didn't know if Tom was really being mean to Jake because Tom just doesn't want to get his heart broken again and he doesn't technically know how to react to this type of situation. I liked your video.

He experienced something he had never before. He was overwhelmed and clearly didn’t know how to handle it. Off topic, also love the music choice.
I think he was very poorly written in episodes 5, 6 and 7. He seemed like 3 different people. • In episode 5 he was horrible for ignoring Jake saying he wanted to move on. • In 6 he was worried about the challenge scene because it could complicate things with Jake (more consistent with Tom's character) • And in 7 he got upset with Jake because he should have known the kiss was for the challenge. I really felt angry at the writers for their poor work on one of our favorite characters. 😡
I think he's morally wrong, but not badly written. I understand his concern for Jake by episode 6 but everyone could tell the kiss was fake anyway (except Jake apparently lol)
@@epicnessgames4561 I know they have the capacity to do well because season 1 was pretty good. However they repeatedly flop time and time again in all stars, it’s not a one time thing. I think their biggest problem is they are very biased towards a few characters (like Jake and Aiden) and they mold everything around them, while doing actually likable characters like Tom and Ashley dirty just to make things better for their annoying faves The elimination order has been atrocious. The final 9 are so bad that I’m no longer interested in watching (Tom should’ve made the finale. There’s no reason why Yul and Aiden should still be here)

However, I do need to point out that Tom's reasoning for "why" he's been so avoidant of Jake HAS to be deeper than what he stated to Aiden in episode 9.....or else I'll be extremely disappointed/done with his character. Cos, the actions that Tom has done to Jake to avoid him, is WORSE than what Jake did to him in S1 atp.
narratively it makes no sense for him to not have a deeper reason to avoid Jake especially if it will get revealed so late in the show so I wouldn't worry about that.

Now that he’s gone I don’t care about the show anymore. He was the only reason I even watched it, so when he got eliminated, it didn’t even take me a second to unsubscribe and drop the show
I hear you man I mean I’m still gonna watch the show cause I have a few favorites I’m rooting for but Tom was one of the main people I wanted to see win all stars or at least make it to the finale especially since he got done dirty in season 1

I have no idea why people keep comparing DC to that terrible total drama show. DC is so much superior. It actually has good writing, comedy and characters unlike total drama which has no good writing in it at all and almost all of the characters are awful. It's no surprise people keep using the word derailment for that show but for DC it makes no sense. DC is almost flawless

No, he was always an idiot. It's just that in season one, he was more serious because of his job. In all stars, he's more laid back, so it comes off as more goofy.

I think he was very poorly written in episodes 5, 6 and 7. He seemed like 3 different people.
