Only Gilliam could bring the magic of grail lore to modern day New York, take us on a wild ride, and end up with two unlikely characters finding salvation in each other... I love the "new begginings" ending.. Great story, cast, and acting.... seems a lost art nowadays.

a "forever" movie. not one moment of it isn't holding on to all the places we go, and the way these places hurt us, and heal us. the ensemble of actors doesn't come along very often. geez, it is a genius-rarity. mr. williams. don't know about anybody else, but i always notice - in everything that he put out into the world - i notice that he is genuinely giving himself up...to his peers, to his fans...honestly & effortlessly. if you are so inclined, find the quote by him (sorry, it's a bit long for this forum) that begins... "i think the saddest people always try the hardest to make people happy..." *thanks for letting me share.

The Fisher King was magic in every respect. I fell in love with Robin William's character! Stellar cast and acting perfection.
