The role of monks in the Orthodox Church is often misunderstood or not understood at all. The very concept of becoming a monk is a foreign concept to most in the United States. Fr. Gabriel, Hieromonk and Dean of Holy Cross Monastery in Wayne, WV, sits down with AMEN President Michael Baclig for an interview to discuss the Orthodox Christian monastic life. Fr. Gabriel also shares his thoughts about the recently released documentary film "New Men" by Sam Cox which features Holy Cross Monastery in it!
