I've seen the outfit of burgundy trousers and waistcoat and a brown jacket in the thumbnail some time ago and it really stuck in my head. And then I remembered - I first saw the outfit on this channel as well. I think it was the spezzato video.
Brilliant! To paraphrase Alan Flusser who once said that he would be at a loss to name a present day celebrity who could be a style icon your video drives the point home that these gentlemen (non celebrities) literally crush the celebs by a mile! You don't have to be a million $ movie actor to nail elegant permanent style and then some !
All of your choices are spot on, especially Nick Folkes. He's a sartorial icon and an encyclopedia of knowledge on such a wide range of topics, from watches to rare cigars to classical tailoring. His sons have fortunately taken after their father as well. I must admit that I am disappointed that Hugo Jacomet was not included though you did mention his better half.
Raffael I started my sartorial journey several years ago , my influences where Parisian gentlemen Hugo and Sonya , The Hanger project and Kirby Alison , also Allan Flusser and others . I must admit to not caring too much for Gentleman’s Gazette but over the years I have come to value Gentleman’s Gazette more than any other outlet for the style conscious man as I think you are the only truly unbiased magazine on the net and long May it continue . Iam 67 years old and always had an eye for what looked good but have actually learned more over the last 10 years or so than I ever did the previous 57 years and most of that has been down to your excellent and varied content . S. Simm
Absolutely love Thomas Farthing. If I weren't a "gent on a budget" my wardrobe would be filled with their stuff and so I'm working on just that. It's great to see you covered gents that are actually dressed well and who put a lot into their outfits and are happy to share it across the internet. I always take inspiration from these gentlemen and you have shown me a lot more that I could follow so I appreciate that a lot guys. You guys truly are the best at what you do
I think Kaga Kenji should be considered especially because how he wears his neckties, there's also Nishiguchi Shuhei that shows the Japanese innovation in menswear and Sasamoto Hidetoshi whose really creative in his outfit combination. I also want to include Ethan Wong, but he's really special and might be quite "controversial" for the snobbish elitists.
Wonderful video! Even as a woman I found this selection of well-dressed men thoroughly enjoyable and inspiring. Love these kind of classic outfits on men.
i have 5 suits and a couple of tweed coats, and i just match everything, my colleagues think i have 20 suits. best compliment ever and thank you for all your work much obliged
Some stylish gents I respect that are not mentioned here are Alexander Kraft, Okey Onyegbule, Vladimir Riche', Mark Cho and Alan See. Maybe someday you can make a Part 2 to this video?
Great video! For the next video in this series, I nominate Niklas from Vintagebursche. He transformed his personal style from metal head to elegant Edwardian and is constantly learning and exploring. He also makes some of his own clothes.
Well, to be honest - I didn't know most of these gentlemen, but I sure know that Raphael has been and still is an inspiration to me. PS: Greetings from Würzburg (Germany). My wife is from Schwäbisch Hall 😉
The late actor Jon Pertwee wore a cape when he portrayed the 3rd doctor. Also I heard the gangster Al Capone wore unique fabric as well I heard he had a purple suit and a few other colorful ones also.
Pertwee's costumes are my favourite from Doctor Who. My top outfits would be the purple one, the one with red piping and waistcoat and the two from the 3 and 5 doctors. Such fun and flair!
I just want to send a quick thanks, due to your videos I've been able to learn about more brands and people that I've not heard about in the past. My most recent case of this is your video ranking RTR suit brands, With your advice I went on eBay and scored and Oxxfords clothes sports coat for only $30
Great video! Thank You! I especially love the use of split-screen for the 'Today’s Outfit' section of this video. Showing the array both near and far at once helped me gain a better overall sense of it’s detail, movement and - If I were to don such an arrangement - how it might be perceived by others.
Hey GG! I am from rural Austria, and I was wondering if you guys would ever go a video on Austrian style classic menswear. I was thinking things like Trachten, Loden clothing, or Janker jackets
Great video! Here are two recommendations for wel-dressed men to check out, both contemporary NYC jazz musicians: drummer Joe Farnsworth and saxophonist Aaron Johnson. Dig!
The thing to keep in mind with so-called "stylish" celebrities is that most of them have personal stylists. For me, in order for a man to be considered as such he ought to choose his own clothes and make the subsequent decisions.
Any suggestions for Houndstooth trousers? I'm searching for a flat front pair in Medium Grey. Whenever I go back to the thrift store I'll definitely search for them. Interesting content as always!
he really did my man taste of texture like that huh hahaha keep it up short king, ur fits are one of my favourites. good vid overal! nice amount of variety
Some people are just advertising for major brands and don't really wear these clothes, however, some actually do you have to be really careful. But I think these might be the real deal.
it might be interesting that Bracksieck Hemmelskamp (or something like that) in Bielefeld produces shirts and a great amount of different classic detetchable collars. They even created the collar of a pope at least once. The prieme is quiet good btw
Hi what’s the name of vintage store in Bklyn and location. Just a suggestion don’t say you went on a picnic unless you say with your families sounds !? 💕
Does anyone know, the proper name of spiral-like scrunchies/rubber bands worn on shirts, around the upper arm area. It was used for sleeves that may have been too long and kept the sleeves in place with these metal contraptions. Basically, instead of altering the sleeve to make it shorter, these contraptions kept the sleeves at an appropriate length of the wearer. Do they still produce these? Where to find them? Thank you, in advance. Regards.
I never understood the aspect of stylish celebrity. Celebrities receive the clothes they wear, usually for free, then usually have a stylist that puts outfits together for them, and access to the best tailors who would make an outfit fit perfectly.. Or, they make or have enough money to purchase the gamut of fashion the is perceived as stylish by popular option. And then they wear clothing that is very brand heavy. Everything is Tom Ford, or Versace, or Louis Vuitton, very little personal affect or manifestation into the style they are wearing. I'd rather see an everyday person put together an outfit or clothing capsule with minimal or limited resources and make it looks awesome. That is real style to me.
I am so glad to see that you choose a woman as a best dressed. I've always loved Annie Lennox wearing a suit. I've just started getting clothes from the men's department, and I started watching your chanel, because I need some guidance. I have learned a lot, thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and your love for style.
Thanks for the feature guys, very humbled. 🙂
Thank you for including me on this list, this is such an honour and GG definitely inspired my style, so for Sven to say I inspire GG is just amazing
Hey, I know you! You're one of the best dressed men in the world
Thank you for the feature, I feel truly honored!
Raphael, please interview the great Hugo Jacomet of the Parisian Gentleman!
How could he not be included? WTH ???
Boring guy 🥱🥱
@@giants4105 Jealousy??
it's a shame
Massimiliano Moccia di Coggiola, Hugo Jacomet and Lorenzo Cifonelli are for me some of the best dressed !
I've seen the outfit of burgundy trousers and waistcoat and a brown jacket in the thumbnail some time ago and it really stuck in my head. And then I remembered - I first saw the outfit on this channel as well. I think it was the spezzato video.

Absolutely inspiring. Thank you Raphael, Kyle and Preston, without a doubt you also are part of this selected group.

This is one of the best videos on men's fashion I've seen
Bruce Boyer def deserves a spot on here aswell.
Absolutely love Thomas Farthing. If I weren't a "gent on a budget" my wardrobe would be filled with their stuff and so I'm working on just that.

nothing beats a well dressed japanese man. i love japan!
Nishiguchi Shuhei is a must, but for the Japanese team Akinari Shoji takes it home

Can you make a video about more casual but still sharp clothes that I can wear to school as a teen?
Some stylish gents I respect that are not mentioned here are Alexander Kraft, Okey Onyegbule, Vladimir Riche', Mark Cho and Alan See. Maybe someday you can make a Part 2 to this video?
Hi. Just a reminder of the updated video. Still rewatching this one.
I’m thrilled to have discovered this channel. Thank you!
I’m glad Armando Madrid made the list. Congrats to all of the gentlemen featured!
Great video! For the next video in this series, I nominate Niklas from Vintagebursche. He transformed his personal style from metal head to elegant Edwardian and is constantly learning and exploring. He also makes some of his own clothes.
Thank you for this varied list, both in style and people.
This is fantastic content, I watched several times and am now following several of the men listed. Thanks!
Well, to be honest - I didn't know most of these gentlemen, but I sure know that Raphael has been and still is an inspiration to me.
PS: Greetings from Würzburg (Germany). My wife is from Schwäbisch Hall 😉
For any future list I'd nominate Mark Cho, co-founder of The Armoury (as well as a co-owner of Drake's).
The late actor Jon Pertwee wore a cape when he portrayed the 3rd doctor. Also I heard the gangster Al Capone wore unique fabric as well I heard he had a purple suit and a few other colorful ones also.

Really like the fact you included the links in comments - subscribed!
This was great! I hope you'll do more of them.
Tremendous Video!!! Thanks!!!
Great Channel gentlemen, thank you.
This list was amazing. Very diverse and full of excellent people!

Nick is a legend. I have learned a lot from him. If you are into cigars he has an amazing channel in RUclips.
Great video! Thank You!
I especially love the use of split-screen for the 'Today’s Outfit' section of this video. Showing the array both near and far at once helped me gain a better overall sense of it’s detail, movement and - If I were to don such an arrangement - how it might be perceived by others.
Superb! Thank you for featuring a woman who wears tailored mens style clothes.
I like Tom van het Hof! He has great vintage style.
I would say Hugo Jacomet and Lorenzo Cifonelli are two of the best dressed men in the world.
Excellent content! Looking forward to part 2, 3, 4...
Always welcome, good advice, all my best
Denise's outfits look really, really great ! Good inspiration there for everyone - men or women
Hello Raphael, I feel Hugo Jacomet of the Parisian Gentleman would be a wonderful addition to your Best Dressed Men
5
It's sinful that he wasn't included in this list.
Hey GG! I am from rural Austria, and I was wondering if you guys would ever go a video on Austrian style classic menswear. I was thinking things like Trachten, Loden clothing, or Janker jackets
Alexander Kraft is the best dressed man I've ever seen. His outfits are perfection and he is dressed by designers, he curates his own looks.
I second this! Mr. Kraft's style is sophisticated and I appreicate his utter devotion to wearing stylish loafers.
With Bogdanoffs dead, Kraft is the man we need more than ever.
Danilo Carnevale is the best dressed man in my opinion, mix formal and casual with perfection
I like the story of trial and error in designing that Fort Belvedere sock. Takes the viewer inside the process of innovation going on there.
Agree, Sonia from Parisian Gentlemen (Hugo’s wife) has exquisite taste in fashion and manners!
Great content Raphael! Thanks!
Mark Cho from the Armoury and Steffen Ingwersen based in Hamburg
Kirby Allison and Brian Sakawa are also great when it comes to men style. Love your videos man 👍
Thank you for the Nicholas Foulkes mention, what an amazing man!
Your videos are wonderful! Thank you for creating them
Heart.be.still.
Magnificent examples, all of them eye candy.
Thank you for your work. I’ve been inspired to dress better for work, myself and others.
Great video! Here are two recommendations for wel-dressed men to check out, both contemporary NYC jazz musicians: drummer Joe Farnsworth and saxophonist Aaron Johnson. Dig!
You gotta do a video on African Sartorial stylist's particularly in🇿🇦 and yes we do have them here!
Outstanding video; thank you for the excellent content. And I loved your outfit, very classic and elegant.
The thing to keep in mind with so-called "stylish" celebrities is that most of them have personal stylists. For me, in order for a man to be considered as such he ought to choose his own clothes and make the subsequent decisions.
I wish, more gentlemen; in the "aristokratic tradition" in our world, for today...
P.S: I 'm so sorry my English😔
Your English is great. “ I wish more gentlemen would dress in the aristocratic tradition in our world today”. Hope you don’t mind x
Any suggestions for Houndstooth trousers? I'm searching for a flat front pair in Medium Grey. Whenever I go back to the thrift store I'll definitely search for them. Interesting content as always!

What do you think about Dandy Wellington?
Lorenzo cifoneli is always wonderfully dressed
ofc he is… he is one of the best tailors in the world
Great video - I can also recommend GreyFoxBlog for classic British menswear
I really enjoyed this visual pleasure video
I always dress well when not at work makes me feel great 😃
Really like what you’re wearing! Beautiful!
I have learned a lot from your shows. My wife would like to find someone she can follow who has recommendations like yours but specifically for women?
Wish you guys would have had a heavy set gent on the list
We need more sartorialists, make that a movement!
Fantastic! I love this channel.
Awesome video. Can you cover Zack Pinsent next time, please?
Tucker Carlson is actually very well dressed. I like his style
Virat kohli,David beckam,Dulquer Salman etc have great dress sense in the world ❤
Putting thought into how you present yourself. Beautiful Thoughtful Men! Gentleman? Hopefully?

maslowso, love it. Another pro is David Gandy, that guy is an artist
hey, thanks guys for the inspiration. Im having trouble finding waistcoats. Where can I find a nice selection of quality waist coats / vests??
Luca Rubinacci is always an inspiration
Great video. May I also suggest Alessandro Squarzi. Great vintage dresser. Also has an incredible vintage/new watch collection.
Some people are just advertising for major brands and don't really wear these clothes, however, some actually do you have to be really careful. But I think these might be the real deal.
Very offended that I did not make the list
I enjoyed this vid a lot! Thank you for the cavalcade :-) Cheers from Denmark!
So did you like the Danish participant?😉
Gotta love the casual $1mil+ richard mille
fantastic video
Great video.
*GREAT* video. 👍
Surprised Kleidsam and Fabio Attanasio weren’t on the list. Would rate both highly.
Also Danilo Carnevale

Can we get a video on capes?
I love most of the styles featured in this video. Btw I would love to see a what a Gentleman wears at home ? (Can't find no video about this)
You're in luck! We have a video about just that topic coming out soon - stay tuned!
@@gentlemansgazette Can't wait to see it!

Sir,your list is incomplete without Danilo Carnevale from Naples, the best dressed man in my opinion
The late great Rolling Stone`s Charlie Watts was one Dapper man who loved his style and had great taste.

David Beckham looks great in a suit and great in jeans and a t-shirt 👍
