Great review but it’s a pity you didn’t reach the power band. There’s not much difference between the performance of the 390 Duke and the MT 03 when latter is ridden in anger, I’ve owned both. The main difference is that the Yamaha will get you home again.
@@rafeeq37769 It’s very difficult to give a finite answer, after all, one is a single cylinder and one is a twin. If you prefer a characteristic vibe of a perky bike then the Duke fits that bill. If it’s a smoother performer you require than it’s the Yamaha. They’re both brilliant bikes but in my humble opinion, it’s the Yamaha that I’d choose again mainly because of the lower seat height and 100% reliability. The Duke had a few niggles which resulted in a few days back at the dealers, mainly oil leaks.
the KTM is built to fail. the airbox sits underneath the seat and is compressed every time you sit on the bike. the bolts are cheap. the head gasket interferes with cooling, the cooling fan is constantly on. you need to reroute and upgrade practically everything to make the KTM reliable. awesome paint job tho
"You are not going to be doing any freeway riding or long trips on this bike." Why not? It will cruise at 130kph all day. Its absolutely fine on the highway. 110 kph is a doddle for this bike. It's not viby. There is no reason why not.
@@Brookmanrider that is a reasonable point for long distances. I hated my Tracer 900 as a touring bike. Noise level from the air box, fidgety throttle meaning the bike jumped all over the speedo dial with any road imperfections. Sold it.
It’s a brilliant beginners bike, low seat height, very light, enough power to leave most cars behind, fantastic fuel economy and it’s extremely forgiving. I can’t think of any other bike I’d rather own for everyday street riding.
I'm 6ft and can ride comfortably for a couple of hours on my 03. The design means you really feel like part of the bike. It would be more comfortable if it was a little bigger. That said, it's perfect for me to commute 30min daily, and short trips out of town. Your extra 3 inches may make you feel a bit cramped though
Appreciate the work..but the details the ride, the engine power train, suspension is a lil too generic and kinda less.. especially if one's wanting to buy one of these
Here in the states the mt-03 is the smallest. Aside from Honda mini motos, scooters and a couple oddballs like the tw200 it’s pretty rare to see anything under 250cc
Excellent review of the MT-03. You did ask for some comments at the end of your review - thank you for the video. With great respect I have three (3) comments to make. First one: the bike is a 321 cc and not a 370 cc as you mentioned at the start of the video. Second one: A lot of followers watch your videos - don't forget to indicate left before you pull over at the kerb to do a look around the bike. Third observation: on two occasions in your video (when other motorists were holding you up) you took the Lord's name in vain. Let me ask you: would you use your mother's name as a curse word/swear word. I think you would answer no to that question. Please refrain from using the Lord's name as a swear/curse word.
@@BrookmanriderI've noticed how many times you've had to say this. Maybe next time (considering RUclips is available globally) you could note in you vid that it's the smallest available " in Aussie", as that's the fact. Except for that, and that I thought you said the mt03 was 370cc (not 321cc), good video, thanks

Just brought a brand new 2023 model in this colour today, hoping on grabbing it tomorrow cant wait to ride it!
Awesome mate enjoy it. Hopefully I will do some more videos on this soon
ME TOO!!!

I think the black with those wheels and same colour decals would look nice.
I like that color. But shame that they haven't carried the ice fluoro on.

I was thinking the same thing ... if I was gonna get into bikes this would be my first Bike to begin on
Wheat bikes like these, you’re gonna grain a lot of key rye-ding skills that will serve you well later on.
Love this bike great video and review
Thanks 🙏
Love my MT03, its yamaha blue.
Ditto !
another cracking review, this looks like a good one🔥🔥🔥
Would you recommend this / r3 over the ninja 400?
Ninja 400 is the better bike I think
@@Brookmanrider i see! Thank you. Plan on getting into riding by the end of the summer
So.. is this a different version than what we have in North America? Just curious if the steering is still on left; or is there a right version?
What?
What!😂 Ya joking right?
I’m 6’1 looking at an mt03 online checking one out next week do you think it will be too small for me?
Would be ok I think maybe a bit small maybe look at the ninja 650 or the new triumph 400 coming out soon
@@Brookmanrider i appreciate the fast reply man! I’m going to look into those thank you
I'm 6ft and have an 03. It's not uncomfortable, and I love it, but a tad bigger would be nice
You will be too big brother. Look at the mt 07 or the mt 09. Even the Suzuki 650 maybe bit bigger for you.
Hey brother, would you recommend this bike as my first motorcycle?
Yeah definitely mate
Thank you! This'll most likely be the one I'll start with.
Wish they still offered the gray/red trim from 2020/2021.
Im considering this bike, the BMW G310R and the Ninja 400. Which bike would you choose for a beginner?
Ninja 400 is a awesome bike. Would go that

Would you recommend the MT-03 or KTM Duke 390 as a beginner bike? Which one rides better
Duke definitely
my cousins Alene, Anne and greg are in Auz they are all grandparents now. Loved the video.
