I have a bunch of dk weight yarn that I hand dyed and I’m going to use my Kaffe Fassett books to knit an eclectic ginormous cardigan to snuggle up in. I am so excited for this KAL!
This is a great idea. I want to knit something from the Grand Shetland Adventure book - I went on the GSA a few years ago so I love this book, and I have lots of yarn I bought while I was there!
This is the first KAL in a long time that has piqued my interest. I have so many books and mags collected over the years. I find myself turning to them more often now. It is so easy to peruse the latest and greatest and most popular, forgetting about what we once loved and wanted to knit. Thank you. I look forward to participating.
Great idea Ahna! I just finished The Lucky Lines pullover from Grand Shetland adventure. I have had the book for 8 months! I love books. Like you the pattern releases get me! Time to open my new Knitting for Olive book! Which I have had since March😂
great idea I have loads of books and have just bought yarn to cast on from one of them. I will knit the Riggies Cardi from the Grand Shetland Adventure book. It’s a design by Gudrun Johnson and it has been calling my name since I first saw it. Looking forward to connecting with you and other knitters for this KAL.
Great idea. I have the Sari Nordlund book and spend ages looking at the photos and patterns. But still haven’t cast on so this is the motivation I need! Thank you 😊
Anna this is FUNNY I was planning knitting a couple of Patterns from books and I already worked on a pattern from a book. I do have a list and one pattern is mittens and you know that I live in Minnesota and I want to make basic winter items this year.
This is such a great idea and will be good motivation for me to finally make something from my Laine books and magazines. I think I’ll start with Alvar from 52 Weeks of Socks and Lento from Laine Issue 11.
Super excited for this! There’s a couple of patterns from last year’s PomPom Magazine that I keep eyeing but I end up getting distracted with new patterns popping up, so this KAL is the perfect opportunity to dive back in. The two patterns that I’m looking at are the Prairie skies pullover (but part of the pattern is crocheted and I don’t know how to crochet, maybe I’ll learn!) and the Chinook Winds pullover (which looks intimidating to knit). Thank you for organizing this!
I'm actually swatching for the Guernsey Genser in a Sandnes Garn booklet. I'm not sure if it would start it for the kal but it would be the prefect submission.

Yay!! I hope you found a fun project ❤️
This is such a great idea! Going to look through all my books ... I'm a book collector too. 😉

This is such a great idea. I need to go through all of my books and see what grabs my attention the most. Thanks for thinking of this MAL idea. ❤
I would love to do this! I am itching to knit something from my Outlander knitting book. ❤
I have the book also and haven’t knit anything yet!

Yay!! Hopefully it has arrived by now ☺️

I’m ready 🤓
Ooh, gonna go through some books tonight and pick something out.
Thriftbooks and goodwill are the best for second hand books. Is this any garment or any pattern from books?
so excited for this friend! 🫶🏻 can’t wait to finally get my christmas sweater going! (afterparty by biches & bûches in laune magazine issue 6)
This is a great idea! I definitely should join you as my pompom magazine is giving me a side eye from the bookshelf😂
I have books in my Ravelry library do those count
They sure do ❤️
