John Barrington for Llanelli Borough Council presents Miss Llanelli 1994

Presented at Theatr Elli - Llanelli Entertainment Centre - on Friday 10th June 1994, with Cash Prizes continuing to be sponsored by The Llanelli Star (this would be the first time Theatre Manager John Barrington would receive sole credit for producing the event on behalf of the Llanelli Borough Council) .
Note that this will be the penultimate Miss Llanelli contest presented by Llanelli Borough Council.
Comedian Bob Webb is back for the fourth time as compere; Llanelli Star associate and Swansea Sound presenter Carol Lloyd provides the commentary for the day and evening wear parade, and the late Robert Jenkins returns as Musical Director with his RCJ Band. Entertainment this year is from local pantomime and musical theatre favourite Keith Ivett, who in 1993 had performed with The Everyman Theatre in pantomime for the final time after many years of entertaining Llanelli audiences.
Set design for 1994 was once again by the theatre's Stage Manager Alan Lewis-Davies.
Judges this year were Llanelli Borough Council Recreation Committee Chairman Harry Palmer; Llanelli Star News Editor Vicky Caig; Heno News roving reporter Huw (?); the current holder - Miss Llanelli 1993 Linda Pewsley; and former World Snooker Champion Terry Griffiths; and scrutineering the panel - and ensuring fair play - as per 1993 in a solo effort this year is Llanelli Star Editor Robert Lloyd.
A lower number of entries this year at just 15, but with no absences for once we have no gaps in the numbering!
