I have e-Sword on my Windows PC and Android Tablet. It has become my favorite Bible app. I had an issue with the PC program locking up do to an update that Microsoft downloaded. I contacted e-Sword and within a few hours the programmer himself (Rick Meyers) sent me step by step instructions on how to fix the problem without having to uninstall and reinstall the program. This is a very well thought out program that is easy to use.
I have an iPad and it’s pretty similar. Do you know how to configure the dictionary so it stays on the screen with the Bible, lexicon, commentary etc all in one place? Hope that makes sense. 😊
Two things. Most importantly NO PERMISSIONS REQUIRED! 2nd, when the phone is reading and the screen is turned off, in order for the reading to continue to next chapter you have to turn screen on. Wish it would continue and not shut off. Otherwise the BEST BIBLE AVAILABLE! Worth way more than a few bucks. This android Bible is the only one most people would ever need.
How's the accessibility on this app? I'm visually impaired and I know there's a night mode, can you also make the font bold and change the font size? I'm asking before I buy so I don't just buy and it doesn't work for my eyes
I didn't see a notes feature in this first iteration. But since e-Sword isn't a web-based app with a profile that you log into, I don't think you'd be able to sync across devices. Not that I know of. This could be done on PC though by saving your notes to Dropbox or some other cloud drive and sync with other PCs.
@@kalehorvathmedia that is how I sync across computers right now. I use a cloud. It would be cool if they had that option with the app as well. But in any event I was able to put some of my premium books on the app. That was pretty cool
Go to estudysource.com There you can shop prices and buy bibles & resources. They send you a code which you can then use in esword (app or on computer) to unlock the download. To answer you question, the website lists these prices for those Bibles: NKJV - 14.99 NLT - 14.99 NIV - 24.99 I don't use these Bibles, but it surprised me that the ESV was listed as available for free. So check the free ones and see if what you want is already available at no cost.
Looks like a new update allows you make notes on verses by double tapping the verse reference, and then clicking on "note". But the mobile app doesn't have the full features of the study notes that are in the PC version.
@@luissoto7487 Yes of course. You can download all the free resources available, as well as paid resources from estudysource.com . Even ones you may have already purchased in the past. You just need the code you receive when purchasing to unlock it in the app.
The 'developer' is brother Rick Meyers. Thank you brother Rick. I and many others are genuinely Grateful for your contribution. Several years I have used e-Sword on Windows (going back to XP) and have been immensely satisfied with it. Donate to e-Sword/Rick if possible.
As of right now, the only note feature is to double tap on any verse reference, and click "note". You can save notes to each verse, but there isn't currently a separate notes function like in the full PC version.
Great video bro!
"Got Calvinist stuff...if you're into that...I'm not" 😂 I lost it at that, good fun man!

Would like to see landscape mode!
The Logos Android app is free and really good. I downloaded it and it came with 119 books in the library.

Now it has notes and memory. So cool.
How do you add another Bible? I want The New Jerusalem Bible
Thank you brother. Please let me know: can it read from any verse or only from the begining of a chapter?
Is the audio and voice good?

can we update esword on android?
Are you related to Alan Horvath?
Not that I'm aware of
Spanish version?

Under display settings, the font size can be made quite large. But, I don't see an option for making the text bold.

So excited
Is it better or the same as Olive Tree Bible app.
What format does e-sword android import with the import button? doesn't seem to import .topx or .refi?
Sorry man, not my area of expertise!

Hello Bro. How to add file on esword on Android? Thanks
Not sure what you mean. Do you have an example of what you would like to do?
Are there any bible modules available ?
Do you just mean other Bible versions, and commentaries, lexicons, dictionaries, etc? If so, yes, all kinds!
@@kalehorvathmedia yes, in the apple and pc version, you can put third party modules, I was wondering if that capability is available for android.

How do you highlight a verse?
Double tap the green verse reference, and it will give you the option to highlight the verse.

@@edmarsonchristianborleoalo3440 No, it doesn't sync across platforms right now
The lack of syncing and notes feature is a major fail. I regret buying this app due to these two issues...Other than that, the app itself is solid.
It's not very Spanish friendly. No comments or dictionary
You mean less than a gallon of gas
Download link pls
It is not free $2.99 I use Olive Tree
This tutorial sucks. It does not address the installation issue. After downloading e-Sword on an Android phone, it wont even open for installing it.
