      @@David_Quinn_PhotographyI dunno bulldozer seemed massively over hated. People complained about it's heat and power draw, now compare that to a 13600K, it's about 40 degrees celcius hotter fx8350 Oc VS 13600k stock and uses like twice the power if not more ( a 12600k used almost 300W under full load and I doubt the 13600k is any better).
      Even with ancient thermal paste and a mediocre cooler the Fx8350 was easy to cool, meanwhile for a 13600K people are saying a 420MM aio isn't enough and that's why it's getting so hot...
      The first gen i7s were better, but considering people love Intel 13th gen I really don't get the hate for other products 13th gen it's literally the hottest garbage I've ever seen and people love it.

      @@LightMCXx IMO motherboard is a bigger buying decision than a CPU. Most people will probably not notice the difference between CPUs like the 12400 and 12600 in regular daily use, but with knows when a motherboard lacks a certain port he needs at a convenient location.
      His current motherboard might have the connectors he want and he might not find it in newer motherboards, especially we are seeing trends of lesser and less SATA ports and PCIE slots are cut in favor of M.2 slots.

      @@LightMCXx Intel has had infinitely more resources than AMD to make it happen. Intel's 6th-9th gen were practically all the same architecture in the same socket and still made it so that you needed a new board in between. I remember someone (a rando with nothing but time) modding a 7th gen board to accept a 8th gen CPU and it worked. Intel rearranged some socket pins between chipsets to artificially not allow for that to work.

      @@IrishkiwiThey released extremely mid products like the RX 7600 which performs and costs the same as the RX 6650 XT. The RX 7900 XT was extremely badly priced before the price eventually fell due to the lack of demand. Issues with the 7000 series like the high idle power draw and the terrible VR performance have only been fixed recently, 6 months after launch.
      FSR 3 and HYPR RX is nowhere to be found and they are also blocking DLSS on AMD sponsored games.

      @@Ray-cb3vlthe rx 7600 actually performs a bit better while being similar cost. And, right now, at least in the budget/mid range scene AMD is dominating because Nvidias options are really bad in terms of pricing. For example, the rx 6700 xt/6750 xt is comparable in pricing to the RTX 4060 ti, while being far superior in performance. Unless you are a streamer or priortize ray tracing (which i doubt because you shouldnt be doing that on low/mid range cards anyways) AMD is the way to go. Sorry for long comment

    • @Irishkiwi
      @Irishkiwi Год назад +6

      @@Ray-cb3vl I agree, the 7000 series AMD cards are not amazing but the 5 & 6000 series are amazing value when compared to Nvidia cards. They might be missing out on 1 or 2 features like DLSS but they have their own features like S.A.M and RDNA 2 architecture which Nvidia cards don’t have.
      I think both brands have their own pros and cons but AMD definitely offers better performing cards for the money in the low and upper mid range.

Let alone we cant forget the Dlss support and other graphical support we would get but if amd would have bumped all these other Features up , i am hands down to go for rx 6950xt or rx 7600xt no doubt man. AM4 isn't dead yet.
    AMD planned to release the entire line up of Ryzen 6000 on AM4. And mainly with APU, so like Ryzen 6700G etc. And the main ingredients of those SKU are just Ryzen 7000 silicone that didn't pass Quality Control, but still better than Ryzen 5000G series.

    Doesn't matter how cheap Ryzen 7000 is, when platform cost is still more expensive, both counterpart mainboards are more expensive and then must use DDR5, which as tested is very sensitive on compatibility over 6800MT.
    Also it's not important how many cheap cpus AMD announces, but which are really available worldwide, not just microcenter or China.

    Just a different take on this. Firstly, I love AMD processors and upgraded to the 5800x3d. It’s also nice and very consumer centric to keep support for the AM4 platform. But I think there’s this idea that AMD can keep the x and 3D market chips priced higher by putting to market non-x or 3D versions or strip the igpu function from the g CPUs. Wouldn’t it just be more effective to lower prices on day the 5600x 5800x and 5800x3d? I do like really like seeing the R3 3100 though
