Put that engine on a big frame fat tire mini bike (street chopper style, stretched front susp...) simple and sleek... Who's with me??? Love the channel btw.
Just ordered all my valve parts for my hemi Tilly from EC carbs. Thanks for bringing them to light for me! After calling Go power sports and trying to ask a question, they left a real bad impression on me ( short ignorant and seemed to care less to help me). I went over to EC carbs and OMB warehouse n got all my parts instead. EC carbs has a TON of REALLY nice parts and the quality is second to none! Also, I had a very similar issue on my weeks...weeks of jetting and adjusting . Turned out I pinched the wire coming off coil to kill switch and it was grounding itself intermittently ! Felt so dumb but FINALLY fixed my sputter!
Stick to the big 4 I say. EC, ARC, NR, OMB.(not in any order really, just depends on what you need or who has the deal on it that week) G*S is a c*****e w*****t comapratively IMO.
Hey love your videos. Been watching for a couple years now. I've started using EC carburetors about a year ago and like most of their products. I saw one of your videos where you were advertising about their carburetors being blueprinted and that they did them in house, so I decided to give them a try. I just bought the WC 22 carburetor and stuck it on my engine although it ran fine full throttle and idled well quarter throttle was sputtering just like the problems you are having in this video. I being a long-time racer knew what the problem probably was so I investigated on the needle jet. When I investigated the needle, jet was pulled all the way up to its richest setting but yet the engine was still starting for fuel, so I went to my local hardware store and bought a couple of little shim washers and put them underneath and instantly fix the problem, so the needle that they give you in that carburetor either is the wrong needle for that carburetor or the taper starts too far down on the needle and it has a flat spot right off of idle where it gets leaned because the taper is not high enough.
I want to see a gy6 150cc road to horsepower. Start with cam and carb upgrades. All the way to big bore kit. Would be interesting to see what the a9-a14 cams actually do too.
I think it would interesting to test different performance levels of Centrifugal clutch/ cvts and how they work with different power levels. Like a Basic centrifugal clutch on a 5,10, 12 and 15 hp engine vs a performance clutch then 30 series torque converter and so on.
Yeah most people skip the 196, the only thing stock on mine is the block lol. I have traction issues with 20" knobbie tires and a juggernaut once it hits the power band
Hey buddy good stuff! I told you all winter and spring about how much money and time I was putting into mine and my daughters bike builds and today I put the first engine together. I got her a 196 clone but it turned out to be a 70mm bore with that standard stroke. So I put a 58mm crank, 70mm flat top, billet rod and flywheel and 275 cam with EC 1.2 billet rockers on a 27-25 ported head with 37 lb springs… I got it all done today but when I drilled the side cover I did it wrong or something because I can’t get the barb fitting to go in so I’m gonna just order a pre drilled and tapped case and paint it. Whatever tho, I appreciate all your videos because I would have never went this damn far without you. I would have just bought a bike and maybe zip tied the gov or something. Instead I went all in on a stretched MM80 and a large frame mini bike that I ripped apart and started mixing with Kawasaki Ninja parts and swing arm ….etc
Interested to see the 236 power output. My personal B200RSV has a 236 with a WC946 head, Dyno 308 cam, 1.2 roller rockers and a PWK 28. About the only tool I don’t have though is a dyno.
Interesting the 228cc vs 225cc has 31mm vs 27mm intake valve, 10.6:1 vs 9.3:1, 34 vs 29 deg timing, yet only gains .1ftlb and .2hp. You would certainly expect more?
Is there any way you can run some sort of gauge system on the test vehicles and maybe a tach? I run one and I have an idea of the temps and RPMs on mine. I would like to see the RPMs and tems you all are getting out of an engine once it's mounted to a bike. You get 8000 RPMs on the dyno, but how many RPMs are you seeing while riding the bike...
Yall should make a video on how to cut pockets for valve springs, there little to zero information out there on how to do it besides cutting bit by bit at machine shop and praying for no coil bind
Redd actually did a video that he went over it at least a little and showed doing it I am pretty sure. I am thinking it was one of the 212 hemi vids when he put the bigger cam in it.
Hey just a quick question that’s not really relevant to the video I recently bout the Mud-Skipper 420cc surface drive kit and as soon as I take it off choke the prop spins and the clutch Dosnt disengage it and not just a little like almost half throttle how do I fix this any ideas
I have a predator to 12 ghost that I put a new carburetor on and it was running good for a while and now every time I lay into the throttle, it cuts out, but when I picked the rear tire up off the ground, it revs out just fine can you help?
Am I the only one that wants to see the 225RS and the 228R dyno results with a ported heads? Seems unfair that the wildcat and Ghost get ported heads boosting their numbers
Like he said, for the price point you cannot beat the price if you don't want to build one yourself. I know because i built my own stage 3 predator 212 and it isn't cheap but the power is unreal. On a light bike like mine it's scary powerful.

Yall should test one of those chinese diesel engines and dyno it
I agree
I’ve been wanting to put one on a minibike or gokart 😂
They are like 3.5HP stock.
@ProbeGT2 I know but it would be interesting to see what they actually make and any upgrades you can do
@@tractorboi124I have done stage 1 air filter and exhaust, raise the governor it pipes up

I’m makin a mini chopper in my shop, trying to decide if I use this engine or a dirtbike engine…

I Totally agree with you , gordonwicks234 .
Had the exact issue with a VM22 clone. A couple tiny washers did the trick.

Briggs flathead road to horsepower would be cool since nobody builds them anymore
Defiantly wound be cool. Red needs to do that.
@The-AMERICAN-EXPRESS ive commented this before and he completely ignores me lol
@@T3NNESSEE Maby has one planed or just doesn't want to do it.

Outstanding!! Anyone else jealous of Lonnie and his job as test driver lol
You should do a road to horsepower 196cc clone motor
Yeah most people skip the 196, the only thing stock on mine is the block lol. I have traction issues with 20" knobbie tires and a juggernaut once it hits the power band
Great video can't wait to see the 236 also could you build one of there 236 kits with the evo head?
The Reggie Warren Jr reference 😂😂😂

I wanna see big block dyno like that duromax 440 engine you built
start from stop hill climb keep going great videos

Drag race one of those builds on 1/8 mile as this seems to be of growing interest around the country.
Cool graphics
im interested in this motor but im concerned about the missing. even after you done a gravity fed.. what ended up being the issue?
Would love to see the wildcat 460, there’s not a lot of videos of it out

Have you thought about going to a direct drive on the dyno. The numbers would be more accurate

I think you should do a road trip and see how fast they are and how much fuel their sucking up otherwise love the videos
You still got the forks brother
What app are you using for 0-30 times?
Can a jet ski engine or a outboard motor be repurposed for off-road use
Any minibike engine builds coming
these are mini bike engines
@@6bettyboo9 yeah but they are ready to go. Seeing some different combos on different engine would be nice
Love to see a trike build street legal with one of these motors
That bible comment timing was gold 😅

The dragy shows verified when it sees your going flat or slightly uphill. Downhill is an un-verified run. I love my dragy...VERY accurate device!
I think you should put it on the yellow street rod go kart and let it rip.
I'm interested in the fork

Stage 3 will shake you, but when you get to dual valve springs, ratio roller rockers and all. You won’t even believe you’re on a go kart anymore
Mud boat motor would be cool
Been waiting for the 301 road to horse power 😞
It would be cool to put this engine on a street legal bike and take it on a road trip.
Should fool with oil etc and volume and preload in fork before writing them ofg
Can you put that engine in a golf cart?
It doesn't seem to carry hp as well as some
Not a bad price at all for this motor straight out this box 📦
In board boat engine ❤
