I think Happy is the more direct follow-up, in that he recognizes that he was making a number of the same emotional mistakes she had made and resolves to make changes; in doing so, he somes to understand her and can forgive her as he sees her mistakes from both sides.

Vin made some really good points here. Nathan/NF has definitely been working through the pain you can hear in this song since then and as he's matured he's gained a new perspective. He has a song on his latest album called Mama where he talks about her more from the point he's at now, and in the song Hope he says he has forgiven her.
Another great, but sad song.. I completely cried when I first heard this..
Vin i love that you can take dominion over the emotion that allows you to see beyond the emotion to the core and foundation
I would suggest you follow this up with Mama from NF which is a follow up to his song.
The music video is harder to listen to for the first listen because it shows children and a stand in for Nate’s mother

As a child is the the first thing isnt what is our mom's conditions, and second when prescribed a medication ur told how much to take to stay at a safe rate, if indeed was just her mental health such as bi-polar or anything on that side of the fence u would be recommended to see a therapist or given a means to find help, to O.D is to go way over limitations and pill consumption lastly shows amount taken so she taken off so she must have been getting it from a plug which indeed shows that she had been taking these long enough for C.P.S to be involved. Your thinking process isn't logical thinking, its called thinking exclusively. Ur sounding smart, u sound like someone who knows nothing about medication, or caring for the idea relapsing because u don't know the feeling of losing someone such as ur mom to same circumstances, u see from the outside, pretending u know about whats on the inside, a friend can't be used in this situation either so don't use that to sound like u can resignate unless ur going to say it was there fault for thrust there mental issues and addiction because of prescription. Logical thinking??? No maybe logical theory. Also this is why it to NF so long to make "MAMA".

Tv Series Dopesick really displays what vin is talking about when he was talking about pharmaceuticals companies and doctors pushing medication to earn a lot of money. Even though it can be super addictive and deadly. More so when a lot of people do not even need these meds.
