As far as herbs go, there is a good deal of scientific research on ashwagandha showing physical and mental benefit, none of which was covered in this video. what was covered is that when herbs become popular they can be unnecessarily added to products (often topical and cosmetic ones) where it has no benefit. Ashwagandha tends to have a multiplier effect on meds that affect the nervous system. The amplify both stimulants and depressants. With help from your doctor you can most likely use the ashwagandha to reduce and phase out your benzos. I like to take it on some evenings when i have had some excess strain on my CNS, stress, anxiety, and at times i find myself a bit overly tense to the point when I think my sleep may suffer. I prefer to meditate and work out through the day to do the work on my own, but i will take some good-quality Organic Ashwaghanda as a profalactic on those nights to relax my CNS/Muscles. I dont seek to get overtly consumed by it's effects, but to not risk a sleepless or poor sleep night. A small dose in tandem with good practices will work in harmony at times - while other times, i will attempt to do the work from within.

Ashwaganda"अश्वगंधा".Ashwa= Stallion, Gandha= Powerful Smell. You can put like " The powerful smell of Stallion AkA Horse Power. It's only for testosterone building adaptogen. The only issue is you can't consume every day. And woman can't consume too much because it messes her estrogen. Everything means to balance.
This is an anti-herb presentation. Says there is not much research on Ashwagandha, when we have a great deal. Says the research also was done mostly by the alternative medicine side (said condescendingly and dismissively) and "fringe" journals. It is not snake oil I have been taking it on and off for 2 years and it helps me sleep helps my anxiety. I have seen an increase in lean muscle mass (especially my stomach flattened out) Any way I'm sure many vested interests would like you not to be healthier.
Is there any actual evidence that's supported by some kind of legit study of it being able to do any of this? I understand that it was of help for you, but that's just one anecdote.
There is also vested interest in making this go viral in order to suck people of money.
@@Amor_fati.Memento_Mori There are reserch papers just google it. Compared to other supplements its pretty cheap too.
@@Amor_fati.Memento_Mori yes there is actually research claiming it helps for anxiety. This doesn't make it 100% sure it works but how it looks now it seems to work. (I'm a third year bachelor neuropsychology student so it's kind of in my field)(but don't take this to extremely serious because if only looked at it for like 30 minutes). But i will be trying it out :)
I've taken it. It alleviates stress, it decreases stress. But that also means that you're less productive and motivated to do things. So it's a give and take. Calling it an adaptogen is misleading.
I had increased anxiety and daily sharp chest pains after about 10 days of starting ashwaganda. Stopped taking it and still had chest pains then headaches for about 4 days. Never touching the stuff again.
Ash has been a blessing for me since i first started 3 months ago.
Adaptogenic term is clearly defined in the book Adaptogens
it grows in my garden. everytime I'm having anxiety i eat the root and like miracle the anxiety disappear.
the bad effect is i sleep less
As an Indian i m amazed how British colonialism forgot to take this herb from India. Too busy in usurping trillions of pounds of wealth from my country i guess. 😇
When you take this and you have negative people with evil intentions around you this herb act as protection barrier.
You don’t feel a thing 😂😂😂
Ayurveda is a medical science existing long before allopathy, there have been trails and test after that results have been written in Indian Generals. There are properly written how to use, whom to use and when to use, along with side effects. Traditional medicine are danger to allopathy medicinal market, what you call as tablets are also combination of chemicals having side effects known and unknown.
I used it 5 weeks without problem.Suddenly I felt very bad 8 hours after use. I felt all day bad and I vomited. I took 3 weeks break. Had no problem in this 3 weeks. Took Ashwagadha again and problems came again. Bad feelings in stomach and after 9 hours vomited again. Then i stoped to use it completely.
Allergy
don't consume without Dr prescription
@@neeleshsuryawanshi6590 Doctors aren’t educated on botany or nutrition. I would know. Ashwaghanda doesn’t get prescribed….
Probably an allergy Or soemthing
@@bryant8647 maybe.. but i google it and i am not alone who has problems with ashwaganda.
I literally take this stuff with flaxseed oil everyday
Why didn't he just settle for heads & shoulder ?
Or 'ead and shoulders.
'E struggles with 'h'.
Last I 'eard, the 'h' isn't silent in herbs.
The geek at the beginning calling it a product… yeah. I don’t trust him
Took it for 60 days than stop for 30 days. Rinse snd Repeat!!
It doesn't even work for non-Tanzanians like that. You need bantu genomes for it to truly flourish.
In somalia we used it for thousands
Specially pediatrics we burn and then snif so they stop noise and sleepless
We know this from ages and people from west are getting to know now. There are many ways of using this. This is used for not only as above said but many others health issues. How and with what combination and what time and what dose..are all that matters to take benefit of this herbs. Please do watch some videos from Indian ayurveda doctors they know lot more than the west researchers.
So you delete links to peer reviewed studies. Interesting.
This is why the media is going to hell. There are literally thousands of peer reviewed studies on the chemical components of this herb, showing its versatility.
There are some fake ones, but most have passed the highest level of peer review.
I can't, in all conscience, continue to have anything to do with this channel.

Amazing product! Planet Ayurveda Ashwagandha powder has helped me stay focused and energized throughout the day."
Take for 2 months, then 1 month off and 600 mg a day 😊
They all seem like very convincing drug dealers.
This video is like can this herb turn me in to unicorn 🦄 Guess not .
I have 2 questions what chemicals are in ashwagandha? and what class of drugs are the chemicals?
Bought some this morning! It should be a sin to go without taking it! Male or female!

It was used in India for thousands of years….

Bros wearing a mask with a whole beard under it and out. completely pointless
westerners finding out about ashwagandha in 2023. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 clowns
exactly. “adaptogen”. A legitimate term with a legitimate usage that has been co-opted, to a certain extent, by the marketeers and advertisers looking for a catchy buzzword, just like they have done with many other terms, such putting the phrase “gluten free” on bottled waters. 😂
What does this have to do in regards to Ashwagandha?
@@haggler shady marketing
loved that ending about the hair!
Thanks a lot BBC's
I take it with ginseng ginko bliboa gotu kola and many more daily
THIS VIDEO WAS A HIT PIECE PLEASE BELIEVE THAT.
WHY?
@@steveclay8559 I ALSO WOULD WISH TO KNOW WHY THE ORIGINAL POSTER BELIEVES THIS
Ashwaganda"अश्वगंधा".Ashwa= Stallion, Gandha= Powerful Smell.
Said the term adaptogen for an herb was like calling coffee or your weed an adaptogen. I will not waste my time on this misguiding piece of work. There are better places where I can get accurate info.
*Basically........its A MASK.......its A FRONT to cover incoherent discomforts.....but overall, you are SACRIFICING ONE DISCOMFORT.....FOR ANOTHER, THAT'S ALL!!!!*
Very lazy journalism. Made no effort to look at the better quality studies.
Any benefits for neuropathy?
I wonder if it would be a craze in the Philippines since many people here believed in alternative medicines and such.
Does it damage your liver?
Just like medications this herb is great for some and not so great for others. Make sure you buy organic. Very important. Start at a low dose and see how it helps you.
