As far as herbs go, there is a good deal of scientific research on ashwagandha showing physical and mental benefit, none of which was covered in this video. what was covered is that when herbs become popular they can be unnecessarily added to products (often topical and cosmetic ones) where it has no benefit. What herb hasn't been put into a shampoo or body cream as a marketing ploy after it achieved a consumer buzz? The definition of adaptogens generally includes a lack of toxicity along with the ability to improve the body's ability to withstand greater levels of general stress. To call a double martini an adaptogen is a stupid comparison and no herbalist, ayurvedic doctor, or even average consumer would make that kind of mistake. This video was weak in content and spent little time discussing the actual herb. Like the shampoo, this video seems an attempt to cash in by dropping Ashwagandha's name while using it as unrelated filler.

You can pick your own to peruse at your leisure instead of asking others to present them to you on demand. Second, why are you bringing Trump into this? That's kind of weird and inappropriate and suggests you wouldn't read scientific articles even if you had access to them so... what's the point in engaging with you (other than out of perplexed amusement, which is what this is now.). The depression I experienced felt overwhelming and affected my outlook on life. I started taking Ashwagandha about three years ago, and within three months or so, there was virtually no anxiety or stress even when circumstances had remained, and at many times turned for the worse. This is a well-researched herb with thousands of medical studies conducted, and it is safe provided you don't overdo it. Ashwagandha tends to have a multiplier effect on meds that affect the nervous system. The amplify both stimulants and depressants. With help from your doctor you can most likely use the ashwagandha to reduce and phase out your benzos. In order to create am antidepressant, anti anxiety, anti-seizure and cognition boosting effect, you can combine the ashwagandha with the herb bacopa monierra (easy to find) and shankapushpi ( a little harder to find).taken with a meal containing fats. Go over everything with your doctor, esp if you are taking meds other than the benzos, but that herbal combo is cheap, and powerful. It can work magic for mental support and recovery. Good luck!!!

I like to take it on some evenings when i have had some excess strain on my CNS, stress, anxiety, and at times i find myself a bit overly tense to the point when I think my sleep may suffer.
I prefer to meditate and work out through the day to do the work on my own, but i will take some good-quality Organic Ashwaghanda as a profalactic on those nights to relax my CNS/Muscles.
I dont seek to get overtly consumed by it's effects, but to not risk a sleepless or poor sleep night.
A small dose in tandem with good practices will work in harmony at times - while other times, i will attempt to do the work from within.

This is an anti-herb presentation. Says there is not much research on Ashwagandha, when we have a great deal. Says the research also was done mostly by the alternative medicine side (said condescendingly and dismissively) and "fringe" journals. Said the term adaptogen for an herb was like calling coffee or your weed an adaptogen. I will not waste my time on this misguiding piece of work. There are better places where I can get accurate info.
