I really appreciate this flip through because yours is a functional one. I've been looking for something like this for days but all I found was flip throughs of decorative planners which gave me headaches. I mean don't get me wrong, they're pretty but I would rather use a planner to PLAN THINGS rather than make it bulky with fluffy stuff and then leave it at home stored in a shelf. Thanks for this video. 💚💚

I do like to use some stickers, colored pens, and washi tape here and there but even those things have to be functional! What kind of planner do you use?

What do you use as a hole punch? I can't find one that has the 6 rings split into 3 and 3
I got mine on Amazon! I believe the brand is DPEM (most of the writing is in Japanese) but I've heard a lot of people like the Rapesco brand, also on Amazon.
Enjoyed this video. I’ve been debating on a Filofax personal size. Some people say that after some time their Filofax tends to get a bend or line vertically down the planner. Maybe it was on their a5 size. I’m debating between the personal size and the a5 size. I need an a5 size ring planner as I just ordered some a5 inserts from cloth and paper. Their out of their black a5 leather ring planner which is the same price as Filofax a5. Any thoughts on Filofax vrs cloth and paper’s leather planner. Or if you’ve heard anything about cloth and paper’s leather planner. I don’t know how long the wait will be. Also I’ve never ordered digital planner inserts because tends to use a lot of ink. I like the idea of a ring planner for moving things around. Do you have to cut them down after you print them. Just looking for some advise while I’m still thing about what binder to order. Thanks
I know exactly the line you are talking about and I've seen it more on the A5 size planners, but it can also happen with the personal size. I think it has more to do with the leather and the layout of the Malden more than anything. The line usually occurs where the card pockets end inside the cover. I find that if I keep the binder a little more full it helps to push everything out and prevent that fold. I went with personal size just because I use it as my wallet as well and wanted something very small and portable. For planning I prefer A5 size or larger.
I have not yet tried a Cloth and Paper binder but they are gorgeous. I have tried their inserts and they are equally gorgeous. The paper is quite thick though so keep in mind you won't be able to have as many pages in your planner at once. I have owned a Filofax original in A5 and still have it and it is still as beautiful as it was on Day 1. I love the squishiness of the Filofax A5 Malden and it has slightly bigger rings and lots of pockets. It is fairly sizable, so keep that in mind. A5 size planners are just big in general. One way to get around that is to look into a disc-bound planner in A5 size. You still get all of that real estate on the page but the notebook style format makes them much smaller than a ring-bound planner.
I personally love the inserts from Peanuts Planner Co. While I don't usually enjoy undated planners, her inserts are by far the easiest to print and cut because of her formatting and layout. If you get personal size inserts you will have to cut them down after you print. If you get A5/Half Letter inserts you just have to cut the page in half once it's printed.
Just a comment on the statement at 3:40: as a Compagna owner, I don’t have to flip my planner pages to get to my cards in the back at the grocery store. I simply open my planner from the back when I need them. Easy peasy.
Very true! It's definitely not something that would prevent me from using the Gillio, and in fact I almost prefer it because of the privacy of having the cards hidden. I would do just about anything for that dreamy Gillio leather! Thank you so much for watching!

I used to use a happy planner but I transitioned to a bullet journal a couple months ago but find that drawing layouts doesn’t work for me. So I’m moving into a hybrid planner/bullet journal, that’s why I’m looking around for ideas.
@@DorcusT that sounds a lot like my system! No matter which planner I'm in I always have to have some kind of pre-printed planner and a bullet journal supplement. I love the functionality of a bullet journal but I also find drawing out the weeks to be a tedious process. I have a few upcoming videos that will be focused on using a planner/bullet journal hybrid system! Have you ever looked into a Hobonichi, particularly the Cousin or the Weeks? The Hobonichi planners are some of my favorite for creating a hybrid system because they are so versatile!
Jessica Torina // RubyDoobies exactly! I find if I have to draw the layout I sometimes won’t do it at all and then it’s like what’s the point of this planner? But I have subscribed and I look forward to seeing more of your hybrid system. And I actually haven’t, I’ve only recently ordered two Filofax an a5 for work and a personal for personal things. So I’m going to use them first since it was quite an investment but maybe after a while I will give the others a try.
Oh I think the Filofax will be perfect for what you're trying to accomplish! I have another Filofax/Bullet Journal video from a few years ago that might be helpful. Instead of it being a wallet/Bullet Journal it was a planner/Bullet Journal with the first 2 tabs housing my monthly and weekly planner. There are so many great printable and pre-printed insert options these days that there's something for everyone! Let me know if you have a planner channel or Instagram and I'll come check it out!
