Thanks for the shout out Andy! I’m so happy you are enjoying Blonde Redhead. On another note I am so very sorry to here of your sad tragic situation of your wife Marian. I’m sure I spelled that wrong. Bless you both my friend.
Great you got that Morgen album, very heavy stuff. I loved the story with the Flaming Lips and with you and your wife, beautiful stuff Andy, thanks for sharing that. Lot of music and I loved your samples as always
Thanks Steve. I wasn't going to say anything about the situation with my wife but it's such an important part of the story for me I thought I'd open up and talk about it. I was inspired by your impassioned explanation of why the Talking Heads live album is important to you. Context adds so much to the story. Thanks again. Cheers
That's nice of you to say that, Richie. Thank you. I wasn't going to say anything about it but it's such an important part of the story for me that I decided to open up and share it. Cheers
Very sweet story about your wife. Im sorry to hear about her condition. Good to have those concert memories. I really like this idea btw of revisiting your faves of last month. I might do something similar. So much music coming in every month. Take care man and keep spinning!
Lovely and touching connection to the Flaming Lips Andy, thanks for sharing and sorry to hear about your wife's illness. I have very happy memories of the album too, although far less significant, as Yoshimi is one of the few songs that I played often in the car and the whole family would sing along to loudly. Some interesting albums there I will try and resist as I'm supposed to be on a vinyl diet...
Loving the backdrop at the beginning Andy. I think you should keep that. Nothing this time that screams buy me but as always, you keep my record buying affection high !!
Thanks, Alan. I'm quite pleased with that intro background. I discovered that Adobe Express has a facility to 'remove background' and then place yourself in front of a photo or other video. It only works for short clips up to 2 minutes so couldn't use it for the whole video. Anyway, thanks for watching. I'll post a link on Freaks
It occurred to me this morning that the way Adobe seperate the background of the video from the person must be AI a bit like the way Peter Jackson used AI to seperate Lennon's voice and piano into seperate channels on the new Beatles song. No woner they can only do it on short clips and it takes ages to run. Must be using up some hefty computer power
Hi Andy, lovely to hear about your connection with the Flaming Lips - so sorry to hear about wife - very brave of you to share that with us, thank you. It often fascinates me that music can instantly take me back to particular days in the past, the memories and the people preserved in such detail. I am so pleased you like Valium Aggelein record. Discovering music is the best part of the VC for me, so delighted to be able to spread the love. I am currently listening and enjoying a fairly unknown band called Ruby Haunt. Give them a listen perhaps. I am sure I pre-ordered that Sufjan Stevens album, but it hasn't arrived yet - I must chase that up! All the best - D
Thank you for those kind words, David. I wasn't going to mention my wife, but it is such an important part of the story for me that I decided to open up and talk about it. I will definitely check out Ruby Haunt. Cheers
Hi Andy, some awesome pickups there that Bardo Pond album is fantastic! Big fan of Suede that debut album is incredible I went to see them touring that. Got tickets to see them next year as well so looking forward to that. That Sufjan Stevens album sounded great I’ll have to check that out. Morgen is awesome too great stuff cheers
Hi Andy, David here from Ireland. I love your channel, we have a similiar taste in music. Really sorry to hear about your wife. I can only imagine the effect on both your lives. Music does help. Regards.
Hi Andy, the Sufjan Stevens album is on my wish list due to me riding on the Beatles bandwagon and ordering far to much, but I know I’ll enjoy every bit of it. Many of my albums are a story of my life, past girlfriends, Marriage and such, so I concur your feelings in some way with your wife. I cannot understand why you have so few Subscribers as your channel is very good….take care…👍
Alright Mate , Very sorry to hear about your Wife , life can be very cruel. My fave Suede Album is 'Dog Man Star' it evokes the spirit of Ziggy Stardust era Bowie , it does for me anyway. You have got to check out ' Exile On Main Street ' by the Stones , a sprawling Rock and Roll Masterpiece in my humble opinion. All the best and take care.
Thanks, Alfie. I appreciate your kind words. Cheers. I have heard Exile but for some reason never bought it or any of the other albums. I spot some at record fairs now and then. Pick them up, um and arr, and put them down again. Next time!
Thanks for those kind words, Farid. The turntable is a Cambridge Audio Alva TT. It's the first version and I bought this used but factory refurbished at about half the price of a new one. Its direct drive with a moving coil cartridge. One of the reasons I went with it is because it has built in bluetooth which, if you have a bluetooth speaker capable of it, connects directly via aptx-hd which basically means in UHD 24bit so I can play vinyl LPs and listen to them in other rooms in proper hifi. Thanks for watching, Farid. Cheers
Hi Andy, That 20 year Flaming Lips anniversary LP puts my original CD to shame! And then you pulled out that Suede 30th anniversary edition LP! Wow, that does look great! That another one I purchased at the time of its release on compact disc. Such an amazing band with Brett Anderson! Blonde Redhead sounds like it might be in my wheelhouse as I love the shoegazing stuff. I'm really starting to think I am the only one in the vinyl community who hasn't picked up the Hackney Diamonds release, though it is top of my list right now!
The Suede album really surprised me. It's a great remaster and press, half-speed remastered. It hasn't dated a day either. Thanks for watching. Cheers.
Haha. Good point, Ironically I do have one but don't notice the warp until after I've shot the clip. So many warped records these days I ought to just put it on as a matter of course. Thanks for watching. Cheers
Thanks for the shout out Andy! I’m so happy you are enjoying Blonde Redhead.
On another note I am so very sorry to here of your sad tragic situation of your wife Marian. I’m sure I spelled that wrong. Bless you both my friend.
Thanks for your kind words, Arthur. You spelt her name exactly right. Cheers

Thx, appreciate the finds.
Thanks for watching, Pierre. Cheers
That is quite a good first gig you and your wife went to. Very touching story of your connection to that record. Very sorry to hear about your wife.

Thanks, Dale. I could do with being on that vinyl diet too! Though it will probably be as successful as my waistline diet!

I’m sure that 50th anniversary of Dark Side Of The Moon sounds great. I have the 2016 press and it is fantastic.
I was surprised how good it was. But then the live version they released earlier in the year was superb too. Cheers

You are beautiful Andy 😍😘
That's very nice of you to say that Jose. Though they say beauty is in the eye of the beholder and it's not what I see when I look in the mirror! :-)
@@andysalbums For me you are and a lot 😍. I enjoy your recommendations and seeing you
you need a record weight Andy! :)
