- It came out at a WHOPPING 27LB BURGER and had been failed thousands of times. No words can describe this burger challenge... Is there any wonder why? Well, this crazy burger was supposed to be 15lb, and offered a $500 cash prize. Today we are at the famous Clinton Station Diner in Clinton New Jersey - a place known for their giant burger challenges. We weighed the challenge and they offered to change it when we mentioned it was almost double the proposed weight (it looked different at 17lb). We are joined by BadlandsChugs and ScottEats for todays food challenge, in which we will have 30 minutes to complete the meal in order to get it for free and $500 cash prize.

I love how you stay so calm when a restaurant tries to pull a fast one. This sounds like a classic case where they regret their challenges when a real pro eater comes to town. They tried to screw you over on the size of the burger by 12 pounds and then you get the fries dumped on you at the end with conflicting info. I loved how you shrug it off and pound the food down anyway.

I thought so too. I thought that I was the only one who noticed it. Also Bad lands was still chewing when they called the time and after they called the time of 17:38. Bad lands picked up a fry that he missed and stuck it in his mouth. But I do agree about sneaking in the fries at the last moment. But Badlands didn't finish his portion at the time they said he did.
Sounds like an upstanding place... Almost doubles the weight on the challenge, tells you that the fries don't have to be eaten, then comes back and says you have to finish the fries...Nice.

Sounds like a 200$ burger instead of a 100$ burger then if its double size lol so the restaurant is losing more .
I would never go to this place out of principle now, having seen these shady tactics. 15lb challenge turns into 27lbs AND fries. Get real. Even after they chopped some down it was still 17lbs AND fries.

@@divest2099 in reality it was a challenge set up by the restaurant so they need to honor it word for word. They decided to try being shady since the beggining and pulled a fast one at the end. Who can asure you now that as a client they will serve exactly what you ordered and not less. This buisness lost trust with something so simple. I wouldnt go there either.

They know it's highly unlikely average joe will beat this, So it's an easy 100 bux in their pockets every time customers try.. But when these pros turn up it starts costing them heavy. A couple teams had already cleaned them out before, So I reckon they got dirty when Joel's team turned up to try stop the rot 😂

That spot was wrong!! First they measured the size of the burger incorrectly! Then, at the last minute they tell you guys that the fries weren't optional. They're shaky around there. Congratulations! Cause I know you guys made it despite of them.

27 pounds,... supposed to be 15, lowered to 17 pounds, when done surprised with 2 pounds of fries, they defiantly did not want to pay out the $500.00... Good job guys... I Really enjoyed this one....

That place tried to scam you. 28lb burger instead of 15lb, removed toppings to make it 17lbs (not 15lbs), said fries weren't part of the challenge, then added them at the end? Fuck that place. That's New Jersey for you.
Well, it makes sense that they've had so many failures if people didn't know to call them out on their inflated challenge burger size. Even for 2 people, 10 lbs. of food is nothing to sneeze at.

You have to wonder what goes through the minds of the restaurants hosting these guys. These eaters probably have half a million subscribers between them and the restuarant is trying to avoid losing a 500 dollar prize. For goodness sake, the advertising and goodwill is worth twenty times that.
Exactly. You'd think a place would be happy to have people put down a ridiculous amount of their food -- it's the ultimate compliment and a credit to the quality. Seriously, would anyone want to go to a place where the food is so bad, no one wants to finish it or gets sick trying? If I owned a restaurant, I'd be proud to have Joel finish it all and give a thumbs up "delicious" as well.
