SERVICE CALL: Toyota Forklift bought at an Auction, Won't Start! BAD ECU??? Troubleshoot and Fix!

- Customer bought this forklift at an auction and it would crank but no start. Unfortunately I was not able to film the troubleshooting part of this video but I explain the process in the beginning. I ended up having to replace the ECM because there was no spark and the ignition coils were not receiving any voltage from the ECM.
After that, I had to replace the SAS controller because there was an internal short casing a 10 am fuse (SAS-IGN) to blow once you turn the key switch to the on position.
thank you guys for watching and I hope this helps!!

Thank you!
Have a 2003 Toyota 62-7FDF25 with 18750h and I'm very happy with it. 2.5l diesel (4DZII) engine, always start on the first turn of the key, no smoke, no noises etc . Just SAS gone a long time ago. Just have to fix the leaking steering cylinder seals. I've been on the channel for a while trying to learn with you. Cheers from Portugal
Thank you, Goncalo! I love those 4DZ engines. Very very reliable
On the rear axle , there is a cylinder on one side, for the sas system, check the wiring going to the solonid.😊
Enjoyed the video took a job working on 75 forklifts for a company last winter.

Awesome work man. 👍👍
I appreciate it!
Red Loctite on chain anchors? Why? I’d hate to be the guy that has to come behind you to adjust those later.
I’ve always done that. Never had an issue. A little bit of heat melts off the loctite. Wouldn’t bother me
Better safe than sorry in this industry
Suppose to be 2 nuts on the bottom , locking against each other , look at other side
@@jamesminnock7780 I put 2 nuts on the bottom. Rewatch video 👍🏼
