      “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.” God loved us so much that, he sent his only son Christ to die and rise again so that we can be forgiven of our sins. Christ is real, and he’s the only way to heaven. If you die without Christ, you will go to hell, as Christ is the only one who can save you from the hellfire. Before I knew Christ, I was stuck in my sins. I always had sinful thoughts, but when I came to him, he changed me, and if he can change me, then he can change you. Christ is knocking at the door of your heart, and if you let him in, he will feast with you, and you with him. Come to Christ before it’s too late, judgement is coming

      No you really don't need I have the exact same one but I paid $100 less and has the exact same functionality spinning machine and everything but I did whatever I want and I've had it for almost a year now and literally nothing has changed I put butter and kernels just like he did that's literally the way you're supposed to if you wanted to taste better than you would want to put popcorn butter on 🍿 😋

      @@rougesynth Sorry, but both the guy who performed the failed test experiment and you are wrong. The smoke point of butter is lower than the popping temp of popcorn. This not only means the melted butter will soak into popped kernels where you are left with nothing once half the corn pops, the butter is also burnt, burns the popcorn and the smoke is absorbed into the popcorn. He actually used the toy air popper properly per it's design to add melted butter slowly as the popped kernels are forced out. He just failed on the actual popcorn machine by putting butter in the kettle to aid in popping the corn. This invalidated the test and there is not one manufacturer that will tell you to place butter in the kettle, but instead instructions identify the process as Soloshariff said to use only oil in the kettle. If you truly have a manual, read it and it will tell you NOT to use butter, and/or give specific types of oil like coconut, peanut, etc. Most movie theaters use coconut oil with flavacol as the salt. This does give a butter flavor, though you can add other butter flavoring or butter later after it is popped. However, the consistency of butter actually soaks into the popcorn, where butter flavoring will not penetrate and keeps the crispy aspect of the corn.
      The way you cook popcorn dramatically impacts the end result and as Soloshariff also says, steam is the enemy and will ruin the popcorn. If you try identical products, with identical measurements for example on stove top, even different popcorn machines you will have different taste and texture. I received one of these cheaper Nostalgia popcorn machines from Santa and was shocked it was actually good. Not like the theater, but still better than air poppers, microwave, stove top, etc.. It had design issues such as a small kettle and poorly engineered lids that would remain open while popping, which means all oil and seasoning splatters glass sides and top of the unit rather than adhering to popcorn. I would risk life and limb by opening the doors and closing it when this would happen, but still would waste 1/4 to 1/2 a bag of kernels because they like seasoning and oil are evacuated with the popping action of the popcorn. So, when my unit failed a couple years later and Nostalgia did not have parts, I was already sold on the quality taste of corn, but bought a higher end Paragon Theater Pop 6. More expensive, but far better components and design of the kettle which now only had a waste of maybe 10 kernels per bag, rather than half. It is also 12 years old, where my Nostalgia died at 2. Regardless, I was surprised how much better the taste was than my old unit, but also improved it by pre-heating the popcorn maker an hour before making it to get the cabinet and deck warm, but also add more flavacol as soon as popping is finished. I then toss the popcorn to mix the flavacol which also allows the steam to leave the unit. I then close the doors, allow it to sit 15-30 minutes and any steam absorbed is removed for an incredibly crispy tasty result. I only considered these additional measures after my old unit broke and I was awaiting the shipment of the new unit. My withdrawls forced me to try a package of the 8oz Mega Pop pre mixed bags in a large pot on the stove. I was shocked not only that the texture with the steam made some soggy and all a horrible texture, but also that the taste was poor, with almost no taste of salt. Similar to losing much of the salt on my old unit when the lids flipped open, the large surface area of the pot caught most of the seasoning, leaving little for the popcorn. These popcorn machines offer the best taste because of the process of a smaller kettle allowing properly seasoned popped corn to evacuate where unpopped kernels, oil and seasoning remain until they attach to the popped corn. As I said, even a different brand of machine can impact quality. In the end, if an air popper, or stove is giving you even comparable results, then you are doing it wrong...

    Don't add butter during the pop process. The milksolids burned and made it taste bad. Use an oil like coconut or canola oil. Ghee also tastes good since it is butter without the milksolids.

      You are on top of this. While he used the directions for the toy air popper, he ignored them for the "expensive" unit, which rendered the results incorrect. As you said, use coconut oil which is what the movie theaters use along with flavacol for the salt seasoning. You can even buy pre packaged kits like MegaPop 8oz kits that does all the work for you. If you must, melt some butter and add only after it is popped and in your serving bowl. It can work, but still does create issues as it is absorbed into the popped corn taking that crisp away.

    Well, this is a test you toss into the trash as a failed experiment. The reason the cheaper unit tasted better is because you followed directions on it, but did not on the expensive popper, which BTW is still the bottom of the heap per type. You NEVER use butter to pop corn, and it is best to use coconut oil and Flavacol salt like the theaters. They even make pre packaged corn/oil/salt like MegaPop 8oz packs that taste far superior to that air popper you are using. I mean really, does it only take a camera to make some form of comparison video where the results prove to be irrelevant? Hopefully nobody takes you on your word.

      Your not wrong. I have a Paragon Theater Pop commercial maker and it has been amazing. My first purchase was the cheaper Nostalgia unit similar but larger than the one he deemed "expensive". It at least got me into the game for great popcorn, but poor design impacted quality of popcorn, but it also died after 2 years. So like you, I bought a good commercial unit and it rivals even beats most movie theaters for taste. Sorry but the air popper won here only because he did not use the "expensive" unit properly by attempting to pop with butter. Never butter, only coconut oil and attempting to compare an air popper to one of these kettled units is like comparing a rock tire to a rubber tire. They are not a valid comparison to any capacity.

    Geez, you don't know how to use either of these machines.
    The blower motor and the heating element of the hot air popcorn popper are not protected against liquids. Pouring butter into the popping chamber is creating a fire hazard. At the very least, it can damage the hot air popper.
    As for the more expensive kettle popper, you're supposed to use oil for popping corn, and the oil is added first and allowed to come to temperature before adding the kernels.
    Oils typically used for popping include coconut oil (usually refined coconut oil to remove coconut flavors from the oil), canola oil, and peanut oil.
    And the oil serves a couple of important purposes: in addition to adding flavor and crispiness to the kernels, the oil also helps to prevent the kernels from becoming scorched.
    Butter can be used as a popping oil with a kettle popper, but the butter must be clarified first to remove all milk solids from the butter fat. Otherwise, the butter will burn.

      @@BPRescue you are insane, first off how is taste gonna change? I use peanut oil and real butter and blow that coconut oil crap from the theaters out of the water. Same for texture, comes out fresh and crisp out of my pot.

    • @BPRescue
      @BPRescue 27 дней назад

      @@Fahrenheit38 Not a science or cooking guy, huh? I'll help. Well, when popped in a pot, the steam is trapped for the entire popping session and absorbed in all that popcorn negatively impacting the texture, making it gummy, heavy, etc. Additionally, while peanut oil with a high smoke point is actually fine and a good choice, butter has a smoke point of 350 degrees (burn point) where Popcorn pops around 360, so you will have not just burned butter taste, but smoke will be absorbed into the popcorn per the low smoke point of butter. Coconut oil has a smoke point of 400, so the flavor remain not only with the oil creating crispier popcorn, it won't absorb into the popcorn. Never cook popcorn in butter. If you like it, add it after.
      More science... A popcorn machine with a small kettle allows flavacol salt and peanut or coconut oil to consistently attach to the popcorn, rather than the steam and burnt butter infested massive surface area of the pot you are cooking in where all that salt and burned butter attaches to the sides/top of the pot. So, that nasty smokey burnt sauna you are cooking popcorn in is spread to the surfaces of the pot, not the corn; arguably better for your strategy. Additionally, most of the salt and direct butter is spread at early stages, where it is lost later in the game with great inconsistency. That small kettle of a popcorn machine has a rotating mixer that eliminates burning of kernels while allowing them to pop, also spreading seasoning and oil evenly, and the smaller volume keeps oil and seasoning contained so it attaches to the corn rather than massive surface area of your pot and lid. The corn is quickly evacuated so that minimal steam is absorbed, which gives you are lighter, more crispy in texture and far superior popped corn, with seasoning far more consistent.
      In the end, the insanity is yours if you think your process on the stove creates a superior product. It's just scientifically invalid. Using identical oil , seasoning and corn, a popcorn maker will create a far superior product both in taste and texture and it won't even be close. I challenge you to use your peanut oil and corn, but eliminate the butter until AFTER it is cooked. There is not one in ten people that will choose the stovetop. Even with superior products like peanut oil vs. coconut oil, your stovetop method will not touch what the theaters provide. It is "insane" to even think it can..

      @@BPRescue crack the lid to pot and the steam can get out Mr science guy

    • @BPRescue
      @BPRescue 27 дней назад

      @@Fahrenheit38 Some, but not the massive amount of steam that hits the lid and drains down. Regardless, that only reduces that issue and you still have the burning of butter, soggy kernels from the rainforest you created, and the lack of taste, or consistency in spices. Sorry dude, you can make excuses all you like, but you are wrong. I guess you serve as a reminder in why many think their mom's cooking is the best. It is what your pallet is used to and rationalize as good, when in reality it is at the bottom of taste and quality of any other type of process, including microwave popcorn. I'm not going to argue to facts, either you continue to live in the land of inadequacy, or you try it and advance beyond the trailer park. Do some testing, or just don't comment...
