    Hiya Sharayah. Glad to see your videos! We also just started Morning Time a couple of months ago (since our Covid-lockdown in Australia)! And we also added AO1 & AO6 during this time in our read-aloud. We are using WonderFull covering Psalms in a year (we use Brighter Day Press schedule). The schedule include Hymns, Memory Verse, Cathecism & Beauty. Plus CC reviews & character study. We read-aloud AO year 1 & year 6 at night. My kids are too active for me to read-aloud chapter books during the day (except picture books ).

    Hi, about not discussing your Bible readings: Have a look at Nehemiah 8:8. Is the the sense of the reading discussed in this verse, and, if so, what is the result of it?

      Hi there! Thanks for watching and for your comment! I’m not sure I understand your question. Are you wondering if I explain what I’m reading to my children after I’ve read it? Or do we have a discussion about what I read or both? Because I believe I explained that in the video…?

    • @aleciawimer8506
      @aleciawimer8506 2 года назад

      @@sharayahmauricehomeschools Hi, you said you read a Proverb a day and didn’t explain it. Nehemiah 8:8 says to “give the sense…for understanding (of the Bible reading). That means to read, explain what was read The Bible, for the purpose of comprehension.

    • @sharayahmauricehomeschools
      @sharayahmauricehomeschools  2 года назад +1

      Yes, I said I read a proverb a day. I also said we sometimes discuss it, we sometimes don’t. I listen to the Holy Spirit in me and obey His promptings or direction through my children’s natural observations. The point I was making was that not every reading has to be a discussion. Sometimes just filling their hearts and minds with God’s word is all that is needed. I let God do what He wants with their hearts and minds after that. As homeschoolers we tend to turn every little thing into a lesson, belaboring for our children what is supposed to be a delightful time in reading the Bible. This was my point. But always, listening to the Holy Spirit’s guidance is number 1. Also, it might help you to consider the context of Nehemiah and again, listen to the Holy Spirit as He helps you understand what it means…
