I laughed my butt off!! I swear my resin hates me too!! when I have these days, I usually get knocked out off resin printing for weeks!! Now that I know, I am not the only one suffering, I will take it more light heartedly when this eventually happens again

Ughhh! Exactly. I print A LOT!!! And I tell everyone who’s interested in resin printing how awful it is. 😂

It's nice to know the professionals also deal with the same problems us normal folk run into from time to time. lol. Happy to see you back to sharing videos with us!

It doesn't happen to me to the extent you described but maybe that's because of my background working in a laboratory. Everything to do with resin I do in a leak tray with tall sides, which has a silicone mat inside of it. That way any spills are immediately contained within the tray itself. I have a one-hand tear paper towel holder next to my setup too.

i am processing around 10 (Liter) bottles of resin every week and know exactly what you are talking about, this stuff is evil and there are days it makes you want to smash all equipment against the wall and run away from it. these are the rare moments i start preferring FDM printing over resin, but at the end of day it´s the same crap just with different problems ;)

Resin triggers classic migraine headaches for me. When that happens, I down for a couple of days. I'll probably build a negative pressure chamber so I can continue. In the meantime, I'm printing with filament.

I just can’t wait till we have a perfect miniature resin where it’s super hard to break but still has good details

I had to laugh, definitely had a day like that.
While I got you, I need some help. I’m using Chitubox Basic 2.1 and copied your (insane) settings but I’m getting prints that need repair. Can you do a video showing those settings, please!

So glad to see you again! I’ve learned everything I know about supporting from you! Are you still using the same support sizes that you had in your last video about that?

We've all been there. A few months ago in the middle of a huge project I knocked over a full 8L cleaning vat of IPA which had over a year's worth of resin residue in it. Took forever to clean up and get rid of the smell. But damn to I still love this hobby LOL

Oh yeah. I’ve had those days. Soul crushing. I clean everything up, I shut the printer down, and I just walk away for a while. Someone should tell us you should never try to empty a full VAT of resin from a Saturn printer. It doesn’t end well.

It can get everywhere. I use so much cleaning stuff sometimes. But I will always prefer it over FDM.

Sounds like you had one of those downward spiral days. One thing goes wrong and gets you flustered making it more likely for something else to go wrong and when it does you get more flustered causing something else to go wrong. When I get into these spirals I know I just have to step away but the problem is recognizing them before they turn into disaster.

Yeah I f***ing hate resin, hopefully the next big breakthrough in resin 3D printers is in resin maintenance. It would be great if there was just a tank to fill and have the printer automatically agitate the resin to mix it before printing, drain the vat after printing (not sure how, maybe a syphon valve in the vat?). Maybe using magnetic attachments for the vat and printing head to minimise manual screw clamps.
Sometimes I think what I need is an isolation chamber like in science labs in the movies where you've got like a big glass tank with gloves built into holes in the side of the tank so you can work on the inside without any chance of contaminating the environment. But you still need to get things in and out of it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    3D resin is like diarrhea,
One day I had a bad case of diarrhea and no sooner than I cleaned up after taking a shower It hit me again so I was sitting there on the toilet and there was no Toilet paper
So I reached over and grabbed a bath towel to clean myself off and mistakenly left it on the counter Then my wife came in and washed her face and grabbed the towel I used to dry her face off with, The next thing is I had it on me she had it on her face and it was everywhere Then she started to scream the dog came in and grabbed the towel and thought it was playtime and ran through the house with the towel and had it everywhere, it was on the carpet it was on the kids it was on the couch, Then the doorbell rang it was my father in law greeting me for father's Day and no sooner he got halfway in He shook my hand and said Happy Fathers Day and I had it all over him because I had it on my hands that's why I say 3D resin is like diarrhea because it gets everywhere,
We now have a emergency cabinet filled with one roll of paper towels a pair of rubber gloves and a air filtered face mask And some pepto bismol

Knock on wood, I have yet to have any resin accidents other than the rare odd resin droplet here and there. I am very careful though which helps. When moving something containing or covered in liquid resin, I usually plan out the move in advance. That way I do not have to improvise while trying to hold a dripping build plate in one hand :-)

Once I start to improvise that's when it all goes to hell lol!

God so true. My resin printer just sits in a corner of my shop and only gets used 2 or three times a year, especially since I purchased my no muss no fuss bambu printer. The mess and cleanup that comes with resin plus the occasional spill was just too much after a while.
