This year has been absolutely insane for new metal music. Superbloom definitely jumped to the top of my AOTY list, though. Heavener is second, TMBTE is third.
This album is just phenomenal, inside and out! Saw them live last year about a week after their accident. They put on such a great show and they are all so talented and so nice
This album was a really pleasant Surprise For me because except a few songs on the iredecent , I was looking at this band more like experimental metalcore which I didn't like that much. Obviously the guys on the band are super talented and creative and of course brave enough to do their kind of stuff. But I always preferred more direct and straightforward stuff .this new album ripped my mind to pieces from inside out. Definitely among my top 5 albums of the year
Musically speaking, Superbloom was the best song on the album imo. Simply ethereal sonically

Foregone by In Flames was my AOTY followed closely by Polaris' new one, but then Superbloom dropped and I think they may have taken AOTY!

Silent Planet will be headlining Festivals soon. Silent Planet is on a different level.
