By the way, the 32 round snail drum wasn't developed for the Bergmann MP18, rather, it already existed for specialised artilary P08 Luger pistols with detachable butt stocks as a pistol-carbine. simply re-purposed for the MP18, you can actually load an 8 round luger magazine into an MP18

Lieutenant Sep if you spray and pray with the automatico you’ll be out of ammo and dead. It has a small magazine and a fast fire rate meaning your out fast. So you have to be accurate and able to control recoil. The hellriegel is the spray and pray gun with it’s 60 round drum mag.

the MP18 trench variant is the best assault weapon in the game IMO.
The experimental version is underrated, nobody uses it :(

I use it and it's more accurate than the MP18 Optical and Trench variants which are full automatic but the high level players 50-110 if they are premium they will use the Ribreyrolles 1918 Assault Rifle in game carbine/ SMG to counter MP18 experimental
I love this one. With the Automatico I find that I run out of bullets when facing more than 1 enemy and the Hellriegel is too slow to start firring. This can also hit targets further away then the Automatico.

Been playing BF1 since 2017 and still playing it almost everyday. This gun has become my workhorse, being the gun I have the most kills with. MP-18GOD.
Lacks range? Yeah, ok. With decent accuracy and bursts/single shots you can easily pick off people from up to 50-75m.
I understand that the developers do not want to be racist, but a black man would not get drafted into the german army.

Vibezzz it isn't racist and you are right that they would not get out on the Western front, but Germany had african colonial troops and Lettow-Vorbeck, their general, was very tolerant and amiable to his black troops. including them in the game pays homage to the African dead even if their front doesn't have any maps (yet?)
this guy is right, blacks did not participate much in the Western Front (except black americans and french in 1918) Most of them fought in the African colonies

that is wrong. black men had problems in the segregational us army during ww1, where they were seperated and fought in "black units". The french, cause of their colonial soldiers, had no race problems, but the US had. Google it, it is all there in da internet.

I use it from the Hip with the gas mask and AT grenades/dynamite. Feel like a true Stormtrooper haha

The MP 18 (Trench) is the best weapon in the game
Its best for beginners CQC and medium ranges it just gets beaten by OP weapons and snipers

Very good review. You really helped me to understand the different variation of this weapon.
I changed my optics and altered the recoil on this and I got a better feeling for it after that. I felt it had a tendancy to kick back and pull my sights upwards. After alter the recoil direction to the right it stopped doing that so it became more enjoyable to play with.
I noticed that too yesterday. Way more accurate.
my favourite and most reliable assault gun, went on an 18 killstreak with it in operations in argon forest.
Love this gun after TTK 2.0 patch. It can finally stand on its own against a Hellriegel user.
Personally, I prefer using shotguns. Theyre pretty easy to use, and very fun before unlocking high level weapons.
the a-10 with the slug version (hunter i think) can oneshot even at medium range with hip fire, that thing is a beast
MP 18 Experimental is the most underrated gun in Battlefield, it can out gun every gun in the assault class.
It is under rated i will give you that 100% correct but i dont think it can outgun the Hellriegel it varies purely on your playstyle...the Automatico is for people who rush in and "spray and pray" where as the MP-18 and Hellriegel sort of offer medium range players a good stand...

the experimental variant is a three round burst, its meant to do that. not sure why the optical is doing that
