First off, when you listen to other people whose first language is not English, be it German, French, Indian, Spanish etc, you will notice all sorts of variations in their pronunciation of the English words. So folks be rest assured you are fine for attempting to even learn how to speak English. The sad part is that English folks don’t even speak their own language well and can’t be bothered learning other languages. So, don’t break a leg trying to speak English and pronouncing words like Queen Elizabeth. Just communicate clearly and use the proper tenses and you are good. Individuals who are well travelled expect a French accent when a French person speaks English or a German accent or Indian accent or Nigerian accent since it’s not your first language. So relax folks and guess what? The English language actually doesn’t add up or follow its own rules as rightly pointed in the discourse.
