Hey, not sure if anyone has mentioned this yet, but if you feed a pokemon and don't max them out, the friendship points do roll over the next time they show up. So it's not completely pay to win.... But it might take a while to max out some of them 😅

@@lindagal2864 Shinies only need one biscuit to be befriended, doesn't matter which kind, so don't use a great or master biscuit on them!
But how likely are the "same" pokemon to show up
what's stopping them from being the same pokemon, but technically a different one due to stats etc
I really like these pokemon themed games that encourage healthy lifestyles like this. This is the first week in years that I've been sleeping 8 hours every night
This is a pretty good video! I've been playing this game but your video caught my eye, thank you for sharing your experience. Something I have to say is, the game gives you the opportunity to buy biscuits with your sleep points (first week you have like an extra 500 per day), and also if you gather enough diamonds you can buy like boxes or combos in which they give you like 15 pokebiscuits. Here are some tips for people who want to play or are playing it:
Tip 1: Some pokemon will show up hungry, if you feed them with a bonus biscuit you will have a +9 on their friendship. That means, every biscuit you feed them is multiplied. (3x3=9) if it was a normal biscuit (+1) it would be +3 hearts. Tip 2: If it's hungry, It might be a shiny! So pay attention to that. Tip 3: There's a small possibility in which even though if the pokemon isn't hungry, it can have a x3 of hearts too! So, if you want a pokemon, maybe try feeding them the normal pokebiscuit instead of the bonus biscuit first.

friendship point roll over if you see that Pokémon again. Also different biscuits give different amounts of points, if you do it right you'll always catch your Pokémon. also theres a free in game currency that you build up to buy some of these things. the game so far is really F2p friendly. Spending money is really only good for speeding up your snorlax level.
I wanted clefairy/clefable and shook they didn't have it, but this has been such a great time I can forgive this mistake. Hahaha, I can't really play the game other than doing the stuff you're supposed to. I hope there's a little more we can do in the future and more pokemon introduced.
Not only do friendship points roll over if a pokemon gets full, but if you have a shiny, they're guaranteed to be very hungry, so feeding them a biscuit triples the value of the biscuit, and allows you to feed them more, to assist with getting them in your party! I've got a shiny gulpin, and my wife has about 6 or 7 shinies, it's great!
As for your claims of the game incentivizing spending money, it basically is just instead incentivizing that you keep tracking your sleep quality with it, because I've actually experimented with different bedtime preparations, and my sleep score does get influenced by it. You just gotta be patient. You're gonna sleep anyway, so tracking quality to help yourself out with a game is just a bonus! Great review otherwise!
Tip: I found out that if a Pokémon shows up as green instead of blue in the snorlax Drowsy power screen, That Pokémon for what I seen will be hungry or be a “stage” two sleep or two star sleep style and I think just a rarer sleep type as a whole

Yeah it’s something I’ve learned from Week 1 to Week 2 was the Expectation of how fast you’d be able to catch ‘em vs the reality of the game and catch system would work
Brilliant video, subscribed. Loved the honest look at the game as I've experienced similar things myself (cutting out, not recording sleeo etc.). Would love to hear more thoughts on the Plus+ accessory
The game is great but I think the items and premium are WAY too expensive. And for the majority who won't pay, it's so difficult to get these items in game. Also, leveling up pokemon takes so long that I have found it's easier catching the evolutions when they show up instead....

People are saying Shiny Odds on Pokémon Sleep are 1 in 450 and it’s only those odds. Maybe there will be events that boost the rate.

I got the Plus+ for Pokémon Go and figured I may as well download Pokémon Sleep too. It's pretty fun so far. I haven't spent a dime and don't plan to. It's fine as a free-to-play game but that does mean you can only "catch" one Pokémon per morning unless you get really lucky and get bonus friendship points with your biscuit. I also feel like recording your nap(s) hurt your sleep score, but at the same time you might wake up to new Pokémon, so.. hm.
This morning I got a Spheal, which I already have on my team and noticed it started off at Friendship level 2. I didn't feed it because there was a Togepi which I wanted more than a Pokémon I already had but it makes me curious what higher friendship levels do.
Every friendship level just means you get another of that pokemon. For example, if you level spheal up to level 3, you just get another spheal.

I got Cyndaquil after the third night in Pokemon Sleep.
A game that gives me Cyndaquil is a good game XD
Ok, so first of all, I luckly have a phone with a really good battery life, I wouldn't want to keep my phone plugged in all night. Otherwise I wouldn't play this game XD
- I think the games is more slowpased, so it's not important to rush through it and catch every Pokemon that shows up for the first time. They keep the friendshippoints after feeding them, so you can always befriend them another time.
- The game is really cute and I like all the poses and cute animations XD
- The game also has intersting information about sleep and how to have a healthier lifestyle ^^
- so far my game worked perfectly and I didn't have trouble tracking my sleep
- I also already have my first Shiny, Croagunk
- Overall I think the game is fun xD It's nothing special, but it has charm and can probably motivate people to sleep healthier.

This game is so painfully slow and loaded with animations, I can’t do it. It takes 10 minutes to get through looking at them sleep, feeding them, collecting fruit, feeding snorlax. Etc. some of us just wanted sleep analysis with Pokémon on the side for a couple of minutes in the morning.

I love Meowth he is my all time fave along with Mudkip first time I found Meowth the professor made me catch charmander cause he was in that tutorial mode >:/ then the second time I found Meowth he was one line off becoming my friend and was full then 3rd time day before the week concluded I finally got him! I was so happy :3

The poke plus is not worth it for Pokémon sleep but it does work really well for Pokémon go.

how do you give pokemon nicknames? it's only let me nickname pokemon twice and I've looked for the nickname option....and even though I've only gotten to name a couple of my pokemon the game hates all of my nicknames so I'm guessing you can't use numbers,couldn't use other names cause they were too long and one of them was just kitty which I don't understand why I couldn't use that as a nickname
I don’t understand their limits on nicknames either and that’s kinda what I got at with when I caught Meowth in the video! Most of my nicknames were just the Pokémon’s original with “sleep” in there essentially, but for some reason they kept finding all the Meowth names too long or inappropriate. For what it’s worth, I just tested to see if I could name one of my Pokémon “kitty” and it worked so I’m not sure at all what makes a word (or the game for that matter) decide when to accept or reject certain nicknames.

I started playing a few weeks ago and I find it disheartening that you can't really even catch one Pokemon per sleep session without spending real world money on it. Coming from Pokemon Go where you could go for a walk, spin pokestops, get pokeballs, and catch the day away, the model here feels a bit meh to me. I'm not spending much because I'm not sure how long I'll tolerate this pricing structure ... which maybe is a self-fulfilling prophecy

Yeah I’ve been very disappointed with the game… problem I’ve had is that on 4 occasions I’ve woken up to find out that apparently I’ve hit the button on the ++ and either only registered a couple of hours sleep or not enough to be registered… And yes, I also found out that a large portion of the game requires the spending of real money…
It’s a very long run game, tbh.
You have to create and raise a good team for every specific island, and then you learn there are better Pokémon for specific goals. I’d say is a strategy and patience game, which won’t encourage all people, but will be great for others.

The game is basically an idle play. It takes time no matter what and paying money doesn't actually help all that much.
Use the sleep points and biscuits are rare so use them sparingly

The main reason why it I kinda feel let down by it is the fact that a pokemon game doesnt give reasonable access to "catching" the pokemon. You have no way of getting biscuits outside of spending money or getting achievements (which only gives 1 and you need 5 at minimum to befriend 1 very common/lowlvl pokemon). You get 1 special biscuit/day which gives 3 points of friendship. It just feels like they wanted a quick way to bring in some money.
For reference, in the real money store you can buy 1 biscuit, which gives 1 Friendship Point (FP), for 1.19$. The lowest FP a pokemon needs is 5. Thats almost 6$ for the most common/weak pokemon. The stronger pokemon that can show up later can need upto 22FP (Golem for example)... Thats more than 26$ worth of biscuits... Thats 50% of the current price of Scarlet/Violet FOR ONE POKEMON in pokemon sleep (which btw you dont know the stats/bonus skills for)... not to mention the pokemon can be "all full" after 2-3 biscuits, requiring you to rely on pure luck to encounter it again (only possible by sleeping obviously) to continue the progress of befriending it...
For now Im enjoying it as F2P player, but since I refuse to spend any money on this game because of their outrageous prices I dont know if it'll be enjoyable for long.
Yeah it’s definitely a shame that it’s significantly harder to wake up and confidently walk away having caught everyone you want to catch. I will say considering all we have to do is sleep to encounter them and Pokémon Can return with their bar as full as we left it, I’m starting to loosen up and be more ok with the thought that I’ll need to encounter someone a few times before I walk away with them. So I both see the strange in a Pokémon game that made catching so hard, but I also see that since it’s a “no effort” wake up and see the prize style game I’m more ok with the fact that the challenge to the game lies within the act of befriending some of these guys

I can see and understand how it would/could be! I had my phone plugged in the whole time I’d use it, and then when I got the Pokémon go ++, I’ve been using just that which doesn’t affect my phones battery life at all. So, specifically from when I’ve been playing the game, I haven’t seen it ruin my phones battery life
