If you're wondering about copyright: I've talked to some people at the IJF, and they're happy with what I'm doing. But they have a company that they outsource copyright claims to and currently me and them aren't seeing eye to eye. I'm going to be proactive about it all and try to rely on channel memberships to fund the channel.
This must be incredibly frustrating! Have the ijf asked their contractor to stop? I feel like they should look for another one if the company won't listen to them. That said I'm not sure the ijf values an online community enough to care/lose the income they're gaining from these claims. You could submit written communication from the ijf saying your videos okay to RUclips and ask them to remove the copyright strikes on appeal? Don't know if that would work and would likely be very time consuming. When I've got a bit of spare cash I will support the channel. Your content is fantastic and losing it over this would be a huge blow to the judo community.
@@juiy222 Yeah trying to get the IJF to do something for a little RUclipsr like myself is pretty hard. They do eventually get back to me, but they're obviously really busy and I'm not their first priority. It's frustrating because in one swoop some random company can come in and erase all my years of work. RUclips is like a snowball, you rely on your past videos to keep you afloat.
its ridiculous that the ijf doesn't want to pay you or even hire you to keep doing what you're doing. You make Judo so accessible, easy to watch and I am sure are a reason many people have gotten excited about and wanted to try Judo themselves. Even though im a massive fan of the sport without you I wouldnt know anything about most of the tournaments that go on. Ijf support this man! he is carrying your organization on the social media front.
So, i just started Judo and im preparing for my Yellow Belt. Your Channel is a great insight. Its beyond insane how a simple opening translates into a throw.
That Talibov de ashi barai is a classic ko uchi gari bait, have used it succesfully many times but mostly against less experienced opponents. I normally take my right foot backwards while sweeping with left. Very satisfying.
About Bearhugging, my trainer told me if the opponent has a grip or gets grip first bear huggs are allowed, dunno if this is true or not but maybe thats why the German fighter didn´t get hansokomake ?!
Bear hug rule is ridiculous but you can bear hug as long as there is a grip before the bear hug you should be able to do it without gripping first I hate that rule it's also dumb how under over is considered a bear hug under over is a 50 50 position

It would be cool if you could challenge them to an underground match like Bruce Lee in Enter the Dragon. Just sayin...

Yoko Gake is the Nage no Kata throw you were thinking of.
That's why you don't put you hands out to break your fall
Would be awesome to see more of you throwing, or your Judo in general!!!

Bear hugging should definitely be allowed, another crap rule. Why would you want to ban it? Who is making all these ridiculous rules?
