WE ARE ABORIGINAL PEOPLE 🎉🎉🎉🎉
I’ve looked and looked but just can’t find it. Will the smell eventually go away?
Did the smell eventually ever go away ?
I have had this issue for years loads have died in my daughter bedroom followed by maggots I can’t get into the wall
So what do you do?
I am currently experiencing this, unfortunately... in the middle of December. Since I live in a very small house, turning othe heater worsens it Since I am renting, our landlord can't help us fix the issue since we don't know where it is. We've used deodorizers and fabric sprays and had a big fan blow out while the windows open, and since then it limited the smell to 2 rooms instead of the whole house and it has been 2 weeks. But I feel this won't stop the smell to the point of removing the carcasses. Since I can't get rid of the rodent myself, is using smelly stuff and fabric sprays and smelleeze from chewy with patience would be enough? Will it go away eventually, and have my house smelling back to normal again?
Are you having luck? I’m in the same boat with it in the walls in my room and I’m due to have a baby in two weeks. We’ve been sleeping on the couch and it’s hurting my body SO BAD. I can smell the mouse all the way in the living room too and I’m going nuts
@@marysanders5317 I have had some luck. After about 3 weeks, of constant spraying odor eliminaters and smelleeze pouches from chewy, the smell is manageable. We are at the point where scented candles and sprays overpower it. But is is still there and lingers. Yes, it will smell throughout the whole house in the morning, but I can at least spray around and I don't smell it as much. I have found that if you can find the source of the smell. Bombing the room with odor eliminators and sprays with fans, as well as bunching towels under doors (if the room has a door) can trap it. In my case I am afraid that I have only trapped the smell and I am not ventilating it properly. Since in the location of the source does not have windows to open. In your case, that is very rough and I applaud you for going through that while in a critical moment. I will say, It does get better. It is just a matter of waiting.
@@marysanders5317 Another thing, Doing what I have been to doing to help the smell, can be costly. I had to get more air fresheners at least twice a week, But I have had good results from all the candles I have been saving and an aroma diffuser as an early Christmas gift.
May I ask, which bait are you guys using?
Thanks!
No.. once the animal decomposes the smell will be there for a long while .. but like everything else it’ll go away eventually .
Ha ha Ha today I found a rat my uncles house we just moved out though the tables like 2 feet maybe even three long long and I’m just a kid so my dad had to pick it up which I was very scared for him
yikes! 😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Whoa!😮
You’re BRAVE!
YOU DON'T EVEN HAVE COVERS ON THE SOCKETS! ALWAYS KEEP COVERS OVER YOUR SOCKET OUTLETS! smh you wouldn't even be going through this
If you don’t remove the mouse and smell goes away eventually. Meaning the carcass has decomposed… what can happen? I hear maggots form, parasites… anybody know about this plz help!
OMG! 😳

Similar situation!! A rat entered through a huge hole in the kitchen which was located by professionals. However, the rat was nowhere to be found!! A few weeks later roommate locates hole in the side/hinge part of the bathroom door and seals it with tape. While I hang clothes rat tries to come out of hole!! Roomie and I seal the door with objects and seal the next day with other materials, we also insert poison. Comes out... the rat died in there, we were surprised since we thought it came from the outside and could get out of there. Well...now the bathroom and corridor smells horrendous. Waiting for someone to replace the bathroom door...
ewww... the dead rat smell is definitely something you never forget once you smell it, it's horrible..almost overwhelms the senses. since then I've had a very alert sense of smell to anything dead, I pick up on it instantly. thanks for watching and commenting! 😁
Thanks for posting this video. I'm not sure how you could pinpoint that exact spot, your nose must be that good. I would say in general that the best way to go about this would be removing the baseboard and making your cut underneath there. Replacing that block you cut is more of a job to make the wall look nice again. If this was in a closet though, I would say this kind of a cut is fine. However, the benefit of working under the baseboard is 1) you can generally start with a gap between the drywall and flooring to identify droppings or even the mouse before making any cuts to the wall, then you can strategically make cuts from there. In your case the insulation makes your find a little harder because the dead mouse could be trapped in the insulation above ground level. In that event, a snakeable camera connected to your phone would be needed. I am glad you got that sucker out of there though!
I'm going through this right now, and watched a video on installing a TV with the wires hidden in the wall and that was informative to showing how to remove the trim/baseboard without damaging it. In my case, I have unusually high trim at 7 1/4 inch, the pro being I can cut more drywall underneath, the cons being more odds of damaging the trim, especially since it's MDF. If you have MDF, I recommend practicing removing trim in a closet so you get the feel for how much pressure you can apply and how to maneuver the hand tools with the nails. I had mice stench in a closet and an open space, so I had to do this in a closet anyway so I had no choice. Also, if you go the baseboard route, check with your local stores first if they carry your type of trim in case you need to replace it. My unusual trim is only carried at specialty stores, and fortunately after 8 years they are still in business and still carry what I have.
Good job how detected
Thank you nice video
I Like
Dude I have litterally the same situation but I have a hole in the wall and I can’t find any rat or mice I can just smell a disgusting smell do u think by covering up my holes it would stop smelling??
Informative thank you
I think I closed the closet door an killed that rat it smells so bad
yikes! i hope you find it before the smell gets to bad! 🤢
I can not see how u r determing where the mouse is at? We cant see what u r doing??
used my nose mostly to locate it. and i believe i explained theres an ac just outside where it came in. so knowing that and the strength of odor coming from the nearby outlet i made my hole in the wall and found it.
You have FIVE senses fool.....
Thank you 🙏🏾
Damn 🤢🤮
Yr the best dad
.
thank you! 🙇
Lol. Rats from the neighbors. 🤣
Have that problem at the moment it smells so bad I went up to attic to take a look but the smell made me gag
Which bait did you use?
Same here. I used baking powder mixed with jiffy cornbread mix
Thanks for Video - Keep your Son away from Bad odor - might get sick.
I hope your home is now free of pets. - For viewers benefits: Before cutting the wall, first spray the room with Lysol or Febreze spray and close the room for one night, if needed spray second time next day. This will neutralize the bad odor and can be very helpful protect your brain from temporary brain injury/headache from bad odor.
good tips! thanks for watching! best regards 👍
Well that was not smart using poison! Where did you think they would die?
Now I’m confused. Was it poison or was he trapped?
it's a rat, it could've died anywhere 🤷♂️
When you use it it's a gamble, they could either die outside or they can die under your foundation or they can die in your walls, which ever seems more pleasing for them
I read you put the poison out, and the rats go outside to find water. My great idea was to put poison in my sons attic because he has rats! Bad idea because he didn't go out for water he just went in the wall and died!🤑🤑🤑
Your voice is too low
thanks for the feedback. I'll work on my audio better in the future 👍thanks for watching!

I honestly think they were living here when we moved in. We killed 2 Big ones with traps 🪤 but didn’t think the poison we put out in the garage they would go In the walls to die omg 😱 the small downstairs bathroom is so loud
