My favorite rain sounds of all time. I searched and searched for this particular timing and sound of rain, a more intermittent pitter-patter than loud deluge that just sounds like white noise.

A Heart imagine a room with a single monitor that covers the entire wall for each wall. Each monitor showing a different angle. In the middle of the room a really soft bed and pillows, all cool to the touch. The final touch a ceiling fan set on medium to keep the air circulating.

I too love rain on a tent...except when I know I will be waking up at 6 am to go work in it all day. And then that day turns in to 12 days with zero breaks in the rain. Suddenly the sound is ominous. Upon reflection however, I am still soothed from this sound.
That's why I love going out to the forest on a rainy weekend morning. Just listening to the rain is the best way to deal with a stressful week.

I love how the rain will came down heavy in intervals....and I love the crunchy sound of the leaves when the rain fell on them.
I love hearing rain in the fall more than any other time of the year--not only because the leaves are on the ground, but it's a lovely indication that the hot season is over, & now it's time to hear that rain. (Although, I do have my own respective cons of fall, such as having to walk on those mushy wet leaves. Eh, oh well, still love the rain on leaves sound, regardless.)
