Did you test this yet? Heat sink is an issue with my Pro when slow crawling up hills or powering down after a power run. Hot coolant lines under the console radiate heat into the cab bigtime. I was considering a small yet powerful fan in that opening at the firewall to promote cooling of the console AND the coolant lines. Since that idea, I've completely insulated the lines and underside of the console. That helps a lot. Didn't think I needed the fan at that point, but we'll see about that this summer. Keep up the cool mods!

I have only had it out once and it was in the dunes so I ran pretty hard. It was maybe only 75 degrees outside so not too bad and I felt a little heat but not too bad at all. I’m not going to say it’s a fix that’s for sure but I think it might knock a few degrees off the console. I have seen people use some tubing to direct air from the hood scoop and route it to the wheel well to act as a ram air ac system and those seem to work well also. Time will tell!

Hood scoop looks badass! What windshield do you have? Just found your channel tonight and been watching it ever since! Keep up the good content man!

Thanks for the support! And its the Diamond S Manufacturing windshield. My dad runs the same kind on his KRX and we love them. They have vents along the top and bottom that you can open up that will let air in if you want it or block it off if you don't!

Some actual results as per cooling in the cab would have been good. How about a duct work that goes from the scoop and through the fire wall?

I have had several people mention the idea of adding some sort of hose or ducting to route the air to the fire wall. I’m really tempted to do it and see how much air actually would come through. Honestly the scoop is more for looks, I haven’t noticed a difference after a year or so of running with it but if I routed the air like you’re saying that could work!

I am curious to see if it helps the Heat we ride in New Mexico trying to find something to help that center heat load, and it does look cool!

I think the best way to help with heat is insulating the console and cab with the WolfSnout kit. Its just a pain to do that because of how these consoles were designed. I am shooting to hit the dunes in March and see if I can notice a difference. I will have to do an update once I get a few hours of hard riding and let you know how it works!

Hey Schmidty, Update on the S&B Particle Separator. We got out of the cold Midwest and are back out in AZ. Went on a group ride this weekend 80 miles the S&B P.Separator worked great! Normally after a ride like that I could see the dust caked on the filter and when removed the dust and sand would just fall out of all the crevices. Not this time, no caking and actually looked good so I’m happy w the product.
That CF hood scoop looks great! Hopefully the functionality of it works out. I do notice a lot of heat in the cockpit but we ride in the winter out here so it actually works out for us, I could see in the summer time it could be a real issue. Thanks for the content keep up the good work👍

Thanks you! Glad to hear the S&B is working out for you, I'm hoping to get out and hit some trails as soon as it warms up a bit and the snow melts. Seems like as soon as it melts more comes in to replace it! I have high hopes that the new parts S&B sent will do the trick, fingers crossed!

Wow so now my suspicions are correct we work any Pig they had the pro are the whole time Polaris chose to wait before releasing it and giving us a pro XP to fund more research and development that's exactly how they ran the ram air hoods for the pro-r and have the hoses going to the clutch system in the back😢😢😢

You sir might be on to something! Haha I think that’s how they do a lot of R&D, get units out to the general public and see what they do, then make changes to the next model accordingly. The pro r ram air system is pretty legit
