So many people, lot of noise.. horse poop, strong willed horse …these military men have the patience of a saint. That is true dedication.
Thats another reason y horse doesn’t want to Go in!
Horse poop is a gardeners gold
I heard farm animals’s poop made from soil. I’m not sure.
Horse poop is vegetarian waste
@@HjjfbfhNhhchcuh-si5dl Perhaps you should review your high school biology…..
They are showing that you don't beat a horse to get it in the lorry. Good job. I had a friesian stallion who refused but with gentle persuasion I eventually had him loading like a pro.
The horse is getting a sedation I think!
Plus there are 1000's of camera on this solider
The horses are absolutely beautiful ❤️
I won I won I’m not going lol
I cracked up laughing the soldier kept on trying to entice that beautiful horse in the box he was having none of it❤🇬🇧❤
Thank you for the video❤
Funny ??
@@hilarysmale-saunders9555 it made me chuckle too, I've seen my headstrong dog act like this "no I'm not going to get in the car, go home, or whatever it is you want me to do, and you can't make me!"
Lol. That has got to be Arnie. A horse that knows his own mind!😂😆 Has real horse sense,
Exactly what I thought..got to be the irascible Arnie 😂😂😂
Looked like a mare, but what do I know?
No not arnie No socks or flash on face 😮
We had one horse say Nope for almost 3 hours once. I sat down and started to bawl out of exhaustion and frustration, and she looked at me, and then turned to the trailer, and just sauntered in like nothing had happened. 😂
😂😂 horses...
🤣 Horses are like babies
A familiar feeling. He knows he can get away with it and is just playing silly buggers and being a total BRAT!!!
@@AcerW-s9e Definitely. Spoiled brats!
That's horses for you they aren't stupid
The Horse told them what the problem was...it was the gap between the ramp & the pavement! He pawed at it to show them! For some reason, he was afraid to step up onto that Ramp. If they had of had another Horse to go up the ramp in front of him, showing him it was safe, he probably would have watched & felt that it was safe for Him to go up onto it also! Horses have really good Memories & there was some reason that he felt it wasn't secure for him to go up. Probably something that happened to him another time! Also the swinging divider between the horses may have swung in front of him another time! Certain horses won't go thru a swinging gate & you have to tie the gate back before they'll cross thru it, ESPECIALLY on a Windy Day! (like the Soldier who was holding the divider back) You just have to know their Temperament! He'll go back for more training so that he won't be so skiddish about being loaded into a trailer, again! His job requires him to Trust the Handlers & follow Orders, quickly, making him & his rider (or handlers) to be as one!
Makes sense. I saw the horse paw and figured this was the problem area.
No, this was not the problem. If you look closely the ramp rests on small struts only an inch or two high. All horse boxes in England are very similar. These horses have been up and down horsebox ramps dozens of times in their lives, from Melton Mowbray to Windsor to Norfolk to London and back again.
My personal impression was the noisy street and too many people standing around watching. The horse felt crowded .
@@Roheryn100 Yes that and (in my opinion) it was not led firmly and decisively right into the trailer starting at some distance from the ramp as were the other horses. Once a horse gets away with refusing, it takes a firm hand to communicate to it that it MUST go in. All my trailers are and were "step up" types (safer in my opinion) and once the horse knows it must go in, it will, ramp or no.
Animals not stupid…very wise…my friend I lunched once a week…I picked up package of ham…instead of deli…he sniffed…walked away…we followed his example….he don’t touch…we don’t touch…then another girlfriend…close…stealing my meds…turned on her…took me me two plus months To realize what happening
I thought the same should have put that second horse in and it would have been fine.
oh bless them , but fabulous they didn’t allow them to load if they didn’t want to if they were stressed , brilliant !
Good job being patient. They will get the horse loaded in time, but sometimes it just isn't going to happen. It would help if they could load in a quieter environment. But it's in the city...
Is that our lovable Arnie? What a legend. ❤
Horse: I don't want to go for a ride, I don't want your dang food, I don't want to go.
You’ll never ‘muscle’ a horse into doing something!! LOL 😂
Thank you for sharing.🐴
Made up his mind - bring a horse to water but can’t make him drink . So very true .
I love this gorgeous horse! It's had enough of being told what to do. Hugs⭐🐎
After having to stand still all day on stones & concrete I hope they get to go play with each other in a soft green pasture. Fantastic beauties!❤✌🏼🌸
Once a month they get to go play at the beach the rest of the time they go to pasture 😅❤
I love those horses, and I'm so glad they did not force the last one into the transport. Maybe they should get a ramp that actually reaches the ground.
If the other horse had waited, the last one could “ follow” the other into the box!😊
That would be My Recommendation, too.
absolutely they kept the horse turned away when the other horse loaded. They needed someone to go behind him - so many choices, none made..
Such is the life of having a horse. Sometimes they're just having an off day.
No beating or whipping and a lot of patience that's the right way to treat a horse. My boy hated loading so I clicker trained him to load. It took weeks of working with him rewarding him for putting one foot on the ramp and gradually working up it eventually paid off and he's the easiest out of my three to load now
Great Video, Thank You.
Im so glad to see even the experts cant cajole their horses into the horsebox. My mare would load happily if you gave her a slice of bread. If you didn't she wasn't going in.
It’s not a King’s horse. It’s a Household Cavalry mount.
I hope you'll forgive my American ignorance, but which ones ARE the Kings horses, & why is a Cavalry Mount not Kings horse?? Don't laugh too much I'm curious who's who. Have a great day
@@wendyschaumberg6850 No forgiveness required, Wendy. The horses are Army horses belonging to the Army and although the UK armed forces owe allegiance to the Crown, they don’t belong to the King. The late Queen had a stable full of horses which she owned as her private property for riding, racing and breeding but they weren’t used for military or State purposes. I expect the King will have kept most of them so they are the King’s horses. The late Queen very much enjoyed visits she made to horse breeding ranches in Kentucky. Hope this helps.
Thank you so much!!! I don't know where else I would have gotten an answer, & now I learned something today 😊
@@wendyschaumberg6850 Because the King does not own the weapons and personnel of war, the nation does. The horses belong to the Army , just like tanks and submarines. He is the Commander in Chief, but he does not own these. Similarly the President does not “own” the horses used for funerals at Arlington.
The carriage horses at the Royal Mews behind Buckingham Palace are similarly owned by the Monarchy, not the King personally.
The only horses that belong personally to the King are the riding horses kept at Windsor Castle Mews and the racehorses he has inherited from his mother, plus ponies at Balmoral.
Thanks for the info, it's interesting 🙂
It was obvious that whatever that noise was ,it started everytime the horse was just about to go up the ramp. He didnt like it.
I believe it’s the clutch fan cooling down the clutch , when it’s warm and the truck is running it does that !
The horse is the boss
Not really!!!! They don't want to go😢😢😢
These horses are treated with respect and loved ..
Nope, I want to go back into the stables hahahaha.
Some days are just like that.
Yes, better not to keep trying to load him. Would just make it harder in the future if they did. Kudos to them.
There's some noise in background, don't know what it is, might be the reason he don't want to load?
I was watching this on London city walks live and he wasnt picking up on that noise, you can hear john talking around 7.02
Plenty of manure for the Kings roses!
The trooper is so good with the horse. Beautiful horse and awesome troopers
I have to laugh...it's not as though you can pick the horse up...do you have an apple or carrot 😂
I'm not getting into that rotten ole van and you can't make me!
These poor blokes obviously haven't watched any of Steve Young's videos!!!
I have a gelding who is kind of tough to load. I load his stable mate first and then he will load. I have to take him around in circles and get him moving forward. Once he gets one foot up then he just steps in.
If they would have let the horse watch the other horse go into the trailer they might have had better luck. Good video.
I also thought that, but clearly none of those men did. I thought they were going to, but they were too fast with the one, and too slow with the other.
Such beautiful horses!
Put another in first, you know those spoiled beauties have loaded dozens of times. My old cowboy granddad never had a problem, horses just never fooled with him. Someone inside knew something we can’t see.
Ahhh What I like to call the great equaliser happens to us all!!🙀🙀🙀👏👏👏🇦🇺🇦🇺
To those few commenters (not on this site) who accuse the soldiers of not caring for their horses will be eating their words. This video shows they do.
Patience is what is needed when loading horses
I am constantly amazed that these horses are all just steel shod. Especially on all those cobblestones. I would have thought using rubber overboots would have been an additional element of safety.
Nothing like a DARK horse trailer to entice a horse inside...LOL This is where you pray for Chris Cox to appear and show you how to load a reluctant horse using the horse's brain to figure out it's more comfortable going in the trailer than being outside. Practice and good groundwork are key in getting them loaded. If you hit them, you lose.
the horses are positively gorgeous, in the parade they looked like they could have been cloned! I'm an American and I live near a race track . Some of the horses have a friend, maybe a goat. Calms them down. Do you do that in England?
I would love that horse Truck very much thanks😊😊
NEVER look at a horse who is reluctant to be lead or load. Keep looking forward, walking forward with positive body language and the horse will invariably follow.
Incredibly noisy. Must be really annoying for the horse. Couldn’t they stop the construction and loud noises for a few minutes while loading them?
Maybe they could have asked the experienced Corporal of Horse to help with the loading, since he's 'lurking' near the gate. Though that was probably below his pay grade. He's got a wonderful way with the horses, and can't seem to pass a horse without giving it a pat or a little cuddle. Even Ormonde is putty in his hands.
Clever horse !
hmm - not sure if I would have given in to the horse like that. very difficult in the middle of a high street, but this is behaviour the horse has now learned and could repeat again. I would have walked him around in a circle a few times near the ramp and then walked him with someone behind shushing him on. horse transport companies have to load horses all the time and they don't leave without the horse they have come to collect!
Going for a break. About month 3 away in afiled
Its a shame they can't load the horses away from the road and people etc. It's a scary place no matter how well trained these beautiful animals are. But I'm glad they don't force them too many times.
It's on the Horses time no one else's. Can not make a horse do what he refuses to do ❤
Where are they taking them to?
I wonder where they were going...hopefully off for a day swimming at the beach.😊
Grain never works with that many distractions. They needed to place the frint hooves on the ramp and tried but that doesn't always work either
Could that on and off sound of a motor or fan make the horse nervous about going inside truck, it is loud
He should have gave a apple to the horse then would go in I love horses beautiful animals ❤️❤️❤️🍎🍎🍎
With horses shit happens, they know their own minds.
The way to cope with this, maybe to back him up the ramp?
I have seen that done at Chester racetrack
Just a suggestion
The noise in the background does not help..
You want me in there go in there yourself, I don't want too !
Are we sure he's not a Golden Retriever in disguise, who doesn't want to do as he's told. I think when you're that pretty you can do as you like. And the one loaded wants to head home NOW....
The horse didn’t like the sound of the trailer or the look of it…to him/her all it could see was darkness!
they are transported in those trailers all the time. It was having an off day, no need for drama, just try again later
Anyone think of playing "goopy" music or nature sounds for the nervous horses?
Was the horse still wearing its bridle? Why not a halter?
The horses are owned by the Ministry of Defence, NOT the King. 🙄
Wonder where they're taking them 🤔
Hopefully somewhere for some R and R.
Probably to Windsor, where they have been practicing their Musical Ride at Smith’s Lawn.
I was watching London city walks live, and one of the guards that follows him said they were heading to knightsbridge barracks..
@@birdiebridges3510 i think its soon when they head off on their holidays.
They might be getting prepared for their holidays at the seaside. That really is a sight to behold .
The background noise was putting the horse off. Had they stopped it for 5 minutes theorise would have gone in.
I watched this on London city walks live, and he wasnt picking up on that sound..🤔
You can hear john talking about going for lunch and about one more horse.
When the advert didn't say "Good to catch, box and shoe" 😉
C’ est la vie.❤
reminds me of my bulldog..come hell or high water if he dont want to it doesnt happen...hahahaha patience is the order of the day and those gentlemen win hands down...
Remember the old saying you can take a horse to water but you can't make it drink
Why not just lead the waiting horse around him and onto the float. The first would probably follow. Instead that horse WON THE DAY - TWICE. The truck was making an insane amount of noise, the motor should have been turned off. I could not believe they tried to make the horse load by lifting its leg to put its hoof onto the ramp. Sorry Thats not horsemanship. Ive watched enough horsemen overcome these issues with understanding of the horse mind. That horse WON the battle - next time will be even harder.
Wondering if leading the other horse in first wlll do it.
Going to the ocean for the day 😅❤
This was painful to watch. Trailer looked so dark and dingy inside and barely big enough for a horse like that. The dark ramp is usually an issue too, putting shavings on the ramp can help. Teach the horse to move forward by driving him into the trailer rather than pulling/ leading him, being patient and rewarding every try, every foot on the ramp. Giving up and taking him back in is just giving him a release (reward) for the undesired behaviour. It's reinforcing that he's done the right thing by not going in.
Pobrecitos, el animal mas maravillosos del mundo
What's that noise??
London
Maybe he doesn't like the ramp. I've seen a horse go in trailer when they took the ramp away and he could just step up into trailer...like the stairs step
The horse - when you can not see it - is getting a sedation I think - this is the answer!
Y no pueden entrar el camion en el patio ? Para subir los caballos sin tanto estres?
He’s saying nope not today!
Get two men behind and join hands behind the horse. Seldom fails to work. Since the horse is watching the workers across the road, blindfold him and lead him in. This didn't need to be difficult.
Why don't they make the guy with the leaf blower or whatever the hell it is STOP?!!
Wat jsmmer dat dit niet eens kan op een rustigere plek. Iedereen kijkt😢.
Een irritante lawaai op de achtergrond.
😢😢😢😢
Is that Arnie???
Steve young method straight on
Pretty sure that horse has some crazy Arab somewhere in is bloodlines! Been there, done that-it ain't fun.
I don't think the horse like van rides
He is stressed out .use a pail with grain to coax him in always worked for horses we had .
That's what they were doing, wasn't interested, putting lunge line round it's quarters be more helpful
nice one horsie
Just like a child digging his feet in.
why don't these horses have chin guards???
Apple…carrot?
The horse said “NO” and no it was
maybe if they took them up together, it might have worked.
You have to talk horse . Tell him that's ok ,boy.
Dove li stanno portando 😮
What breed of horses are these? Big and tall yet they look "crude" and lacking refinement. Andalusian, Arab, Marwary are much smaller yet much more beautiful.
