- 똑같이 생긴 사람들은 각각 다른 모양의 그림자를 가지고 있다.
주인공 ‘시완’은 취업을 하기 위해 노력하지만 회사에서 원하는 그림자 모양과 다르다는 이유로 계속해서 면접에서 떨어진다.
회사가 원하는 모양대로 자신의 그림자를 바꾸지만 취업에 실패하고 자신의 원래 모습도 잃게 된다.
People with the same look have each different form of shadow. . The main character, ‘시완’ tries to get a job, but, with the reason why his shadow is different from the one the company looks for, he keeps failing in interview. Although he changes his shadow as the company desires, he still fails to get hired, and gets to lose his original looks.

As you can see here, everyone looks the same. Yet, all their shadows are different. Those are their somewhat capabilities. The main as you can see is pure. Fresh out of school and doesn't know how to do anything (doesn't know what he's capable of doing yet or don't know what his interest is) . Others were already shaped by school and all that and you can ser how "perfect" or in other words fitting the others are. He interviews for a job countless of them but still get rejected. His unknown talents are still a mystery to the point that now, He's "tainted". In the end. Angered. He killed a dude who has the most perfect and ideal shadow.

@Noobified Clara I also interpreted the shadow as a representation of their experience. You can try to fancy up your resume and appear like someone else as much as you want, but the experts can tell the difference. What his shadow really needed was time to grow.. or maybe a different mold that would fit it until it grew. But instead he resented the others who fit perfectly into the mold for the job he wanted. Maybe he could never reach that level, i dont know, and maybe there is only one mold for your shadow in that universe. Bottom line is, his own hopelessness in trying to forcefully change his shadow was his undoing and the feul for his resentment. .

"be your self" isnt really something Koreans or Asians think about, nor is the culture ever talks about such thing. its more of a western philosophy. however what this video is describing is the feeling of incompetence. when someone overshadows you , feeling of not good enough and as mentioned above, envy of those who are better then you at your job, work, life circumstances..

my interpretation: to be suitable to work, one must fit the mold of a perfect worker. the mc tries and tries but is never able to get a job and in the end he breaks his own shadow trying to fit in to society. fed up, he sees a guy who is perfect and i think he's thought how unfair he wasn't made to be as perfect, hence in his anguish, rips the shadow (essentially killing him) and walks away.
this is a great story about oppression of the minority that struggle to fit into the perfect mold of a working citizen. we arent all made perfect and being rejected everywhere because of that imperfection can really plague one.
about sums up my take away from it
I agree, but not completely. The ending scene made me think of a homicide(murder). That man's shadow he saw was perfect and exactly what he needed. In situations like those, the killer wants money so they can get stuff to stay alive. To be more successful. A lot of the time they didn't mean to kill the person, but out of fear, end up doing so.

Sort of like how misery begets more misery, just passing it around and becoming potentially worse. I was kind of hoping there was more just to see where it would take it. Does Blue Tie actually get the job, but is in fear of being caught? Is it a bit like Crime and Punishment where stealing the thing that is needed doesn't actually make things better, but makes it worse?

주인공이 느끼는 좌절감 슬픔 자괴감 무슨 느낌인지 잘 알아서 참 와닿았어요. 기업이 원하는 인재상에 맞춰 매번 자소서 쓰고 시험이나 면접 준비하는 것도 다.. 여기 나온 것처럼 그림자 뜯어가면서 틀에 맞추는 행위죠. 있는 그대로의 모습이 기업이 원하는 모습인 것 같은 사람들이 부러워요. 주인공이 마지막에 다른 사람의 그림자를 차지한것.. 뭔가 단순히 스펙 그런걸 떠나서 그냥 통째로 그 사람 인생 자체를 훔친것 같네요. 아예 그 사람인척 하는거죠.

그림자를 손보는 것에 큰 충격을 받았다. 누군지도 모르는 사람이 정해 놓은 틀에 나의 개성을 죽이고 그 틀에 맞춰 상관도 없는 사람들에게 인정을 받아야하는 지금의 현실에 슬프다.
진짜 진지해지는 이야기다..어렸을때는 개성있게 살면되지 뭐가 문제야 이랬는데 클수록 나 스스로가 주변에 맞춰 살아가길 바라게 변하고있고 그냥 튀지않게 남들처럼 살아가길 원하고있음..튀어봤자 좋은게없으니깐 참 마음아프다

취준생들이 취업 준비 과정에서 으레 느끼는 감정을 표현하신 것 같아 보여요. 취업을 위해 기업의 기준에 맞춰 이리 저리 스펙을 쌓아보고 오로지 뽑히기 위해 스스로를 꾸며도 보지만 아무리 도전해봐도 내게 맞는 자리는 없는 것 같고 오히려 스스로를 꾸며내면 꾸며낼수록 자괴감만 들고...그렇다고 이제와서 다른 길을 선택하자니 주변의 눈초리가 따가워 도전할 엄두도 나지 않고...그런데 마지막 장면은 조금 어렵네요. 주인공이 취업을 하기 위해 부정을 저질러 합격 기준에 가까웠던 사람이 부당하게 떨어졌다는 것을 보여주는 걸까요?아니면 질투에 눈이 멀어 물귀신 작전으로 그 사람도 못 붙게 만들어버린걸까요?아무튼 한국 애니메이션 계에 이렇게 능력자분들이 많으신만큼 애니메이션 제작과 관련된 정부 지원이 좀 늘었음 좋겠네요ㅠㅠ정말 지원만 잘 되면 좋은 작품들이 더 많이 나올 것 같은데...

@@user-mz3om9vm3b 음 영상 전반에 걸쳐 그림자에 대해 암시하고 있는 것이 사람의 목숨이라기보다는 그 사람의 능력치, 스펙 이런 느낌이라 개인적으로는 살인이라고 생각하기에는 잘 와닿지 않는 것 같아요ㅠㅠ
마지막은 그 사람의 재능을 빼앗아버렸다는 느낌이 드는데... 그림 그리는 사람의 손이라거나 춤을 추는 사람의 다리 처럼 중요한 부분을 망가뜨려버린 느낌 아닐까요?? 자신의 그림자에다가 덧씌운 장면은 없이 그저 뜯어가기만 한 것 같아서 정말로 '앗아간' 거라고 생각했어요!

다른 사람의 그림자를 뜯어버린 건 살인을 의미하는 것 같네요. 개개인의 특성이 무시 당하고 사회/회사가 바라는 틀에 스스로를 맞춰가다 결국 정신을 놓아버린 주인공이 자신이 바라고 따라가려던 그림자를 결국 노력해도 할 수 없다는 허탈감과 열등감에 저질러선 안되는 범죄를 저지른 것 같아요. 불쌍한 주인공의 해피앤딩을 바랬는데..!!

Talking about the extreme expectations of a working Korean society, being the “perfect” candidate
고스펙에 똑같은 개성을 바라는 취업의 기준에 주인공이 허덕이다가 취업 기준에 딱 맞는 사람을 보고 이번에도 떨어질까봐 그 사람을 죽인 것 같아요ㅜㅜㅜ 그림자를 펴는 사람들을 보면서 고스펙을 위해 공부하는 현실의 취준생들 떠올라서 울컥했네요ㅠㅠㅠㅠ 회사에 가는 길을 무빙워크 같은 레일로 표현하고 그 위에 사람들이 서 있는데 그 모습은 공장처럼 돌아가는 회사를 나타내는 것 같기도 하고 일하는 사람들마저 공장에서 찍어내는 물품같이 똑같다는 것을 표현하지 않았나 추측해 봅니다ㅜㅜㅜㅜ

다른 사람들은 그림자가 크고 네모모양으로 비슷비슷
한데 주인공은 작고 둥글둥글 하네요. 왠지 그림자가 자신을 사회에 끼워맞추려는 노력? 스팩도 그렇고 사고방식 같은 걸 수도 있을 것 같은데... 어쩔 수 없이 주의에 영향을 받게 되고 경쟁사회에서 서로 밀고 밀릴 수 밖에 없는 현실을 나타낸 것 같아요. 믈론 제 생각입니다.....ㅎ

스펙,백그라운드가 우리의 뒤에 서있는 그림자로 보여지는 것이 정말 좋은 표현법이었던것같네요.다른 사람들이랑도 보고 이야기를 나누고싶은 좋은 콘텐츠같아요
정말 세상을 비판하는내용이 적당하게 잘 표현한것같아요 그림체도 영상도 자연스러운게 너무 잘만들었네요 보면서 아무말도 못했습니다
틀에 자신의 그림자를 끼워 맞추려 다듬고 손질하는 모습이 마치 스펙쌓고 회사의 인재상이 되려는 모습같아서 인상깊었습니다. 표현력이 대박적이시네요.

Excelente animación. Excelente mensaje. Hicieron una obra maestra tan simple como perfecta, nunca dejen de ser lo que son por más que un trabajo te diga lo contrario, la falta de originalidad y la exigencia por ser más del monto, solo ocasionan estrés, depresión hasta hacer daño a los demás por un trabajo. Sé que este ámbito no es latinoamericano sino propio de países orientales como China, Japón o Corea que desde niños les enseñan a ser todos iguales en perfección, todos perfectos y competitivos pero dejando a lado sus propios valores, su propia personalidad y hasta amor propio.

I Think this story is about this feeling having schizophrenia, anxiety and fear of judgement. Wanting to blend in and be more like them. Be successful. Then leading to the point he changes himself in his anger of getting judged. He tries his best to be perfect but doesn’t succeed. No jobs take him in no matter how much he tries. Because he is different. Then now you might think “schizophrenia? That doesn’t make sense?!” It’s because he gets voices in his head telling him to change. Getting him to stomp on his shadow and then in his mind the other people judge him. Next scene he is getting a wave of voices telling him to be better but he tries to run after the perfection but can’t. By then he got this voice telling him to murder the person that’s perfect because he is better than him. And that could ruin his life. Henceforth I think that’s the story. Now I’m only 12 and I think I might be overthinking this. But I ain’t scared of judgement on stuff I say. But have a nice day! (Or night depending on when you see this!)

This is good idea not only in the methapore it show but also the decision to keep the character voiceless so the representation is more in the visual rather than in the dialogue which will limit the audience understanding since ppl talks with different language

Сам по себе, стандарт, это не плохо. Например, грузчик должен быть сильным, снайпер обладать хорошим зрением, и тд. А попытки подогнать всех под один шаблон несут угрозу личности. Мы разные и у всех есть свои сильные и слабые стороны. Будь собой и живи как можешь.

I found this idea great (I already have lot's of shadow user RP character and i already give them some of the abilities of ‘시완’)
The animation is great, the concept cool, and the whole make a good thing....
Who here thinks the walking sounds super satisfying
this is exactly how killers are made. they are embarrased that they are not good enough for anything, and the mere existence of people who have something they don't is like a mockery. though they aren't mocking, to killers, they are, just for existing. and even when killers kill the people that have the things they envy, they don't get it, they just "take" it from someone else, as in demolish.
사회가 필요로 하는 사람은 나와 전혀 다른 사람. 내가 그들과 같이 행동하고 그런 것처럼 보이기 위해서 점점 나 본인의 성격과 매력에서 점차 획일화된 인간이 되어가고 있었다. 이 영상을 보니 더 깊게 생각하게 되었다. 내가 이렇게 바뀌게되면 나는 내가 맞을까.
