I like the miner. The hazard paint isn't bad, but maybe a bit much? It's not the paint, its the fact they don't line up on the angles, but that was Keen's doing.
I really like the yellow and black aesthetics of all your vehicles. I think the cross hatching lines look brilliant, but can easily become visually noisy and distract from the clean lines and contrast on the mining ship. Sometimes less is more. Maybe think about using the black and yellow crosshatch like it would be on a real piece of machinery. Use cross hatch to highlight dangerous pieces of equipment like drills and thrusters, or landing gear. You could also use it to mark doorways, moving parts, or docking and parking areas on your mega rover.
i think the hazard paint on utility vehicles makes sense. also you seem to have good taste in music for time-lapses, it's nice to hear something uncommon that slaps like Little
I like the way you built your rover. I want to make a rover on my playthrough. I'm using the Scarce Resources mod and it makes the game more interesting because you have to go to all the planets to get all the resources.
Love to see in next upcoming video. Think should make an new docking place or an place to park your ships down So you don't have to move them when you come back to your base 🤔
I always like your videos before I even watch them :-). I think I normally comment at well. I normally like your builds, They have given me ideas for some of mine in the past. In my latest game I have to drill down just over 1 kilometre (don't ask) and cant be arsed to built 100 plus pistons to do it so I'm going to built my first vertical mining ship. I'm not worried about collecting the stone I just need a hole to run conveyer pipe down. Wish me luck!
when I make a vehicle port like that I always make it 2 extra blocks on either side for clearance but that tight fit really does help you line up with the connector
Would love to see one of your builds on the steam work shop , so we can try it out of make something like in our own worlds. Would help out new player like me self see what is possible to build . Thanks Love your videos 👍👍
not real big on commenting on any video. but since u ask nicly and I think your content is 👍 love what your doing let us know if this makes a difference❤🎉
Iv been binge watching your series after coming back to game after about 5 or so years of not playing the game. Any chance you could make a video of your favorite/most used scripts and mods?
You've really made me get into building rovers, i just wish I understood your suspension systems more and the process of tuning it to get them to actually work well, not just enough to get by. Sad thing is, Im on xbox so im STILL waiting for the contact update. I want to rent a dedicated server so i can take part in all the scripts and mods you use, but I'm affraid of having to start over when it finally does release. So I'm just sitting here waiting 😢 also I got a feeling your steering angle on your flatbed rover is why it's catching and ripping you over everytime you turn. I think it needs to be staggered. So like 20° 1st front axle. 5°-10° on the 2nd front axle. 0°-3° 3rd. 5°-10° 4th. 20° on final rear axle. It all depends on how far from center of the wheelbase the wheels are. So those two front axles i think are just constantly fighting over which turning radius to take. (My comment for your request for me to comment) Edit: also, I'll be honest man. I absolutely do not like the way the Hazzard material looks lmao. I wish it actually texture wrapped like the other materials do
also im new to your content and a big fan of the game with many hours. my ? is what mods do you run if any? i know theres alot to sometimes if you have a video on the topic where can i find it? ty
I dont have so much a list of what mods im using but, in short not many, its mainly a vanilla world with a few mods to making building easier and living harder, such as build vision, The encounter mod to add enemies and bases and a few other i cant remember
A day late to the party, and still watching. I was going to comment "quack", but I think I'll say "why not use action relays and event controllers for the truck loading chute?". I wonder if longer comments are favoured by the code overlord over shorter ones too?
Wouldn't you be able to have the EC (mounted on rover) monitor the Cargo Filled %, once it meets that 70-80% threshold, trigger action relay to send on channel x to loading station? Have receiver relay turn the ejector off? Although, I could be missing a vital part of the puzzle (and knowing me, it's highly likely I am. I measure thrice and cut 16 times)
Event Controllers are amazing - just need to keep in mind they only trigger when the condition actually crosses the threshold (if you've already gone past it, it won't trigger) - edge triggering, basically. Great for setting up a safety net for the "disconnected the flier from the dock and forgot to turn on the batteries" we've all done too. Action Relays I've tinkered with, but definitely still a rookie on them. I could be wrong on it, but they feel like they're just for activating timer blocks via antenna.
also the prototech update is out now, people show cased it in creative, but no one has showed how it feels in survival yet. So you can catch some hype by getting to the new content through survival first
@quantumchief hi I've been watching a lot of space engineers and I've come up with a small challenge of my own and id like to see if at any point someone can pull it off I'd like to see hidden landing gears and similar things I think it might throw in so interesting puzzles and I really like the way your playing is going so far
A very interesting wheel suspension you built there!
Thanks

Thanks, I try to go with music I enjoy listening to while also not getting any copyright claims
Very cool rover and i really love the custom supension on it. cant wait for the finished results ! :D

Nice , can't wait to see what you do .
I'm on same thinking on don't know how to space out the pads 🤔
For the algorithm! Great content as usual.
Thanks

7:35 "just a little experiment", could end up shifting entire channel sub numbers in 6 digits.
One can only dream :/
Love how you cook in SE. 🧑🍳👍
Thanks
I like what i see I would have never thought of building wheels like that
Good videos keep it up!
Thanks, will do
Love your builds

crazy build!
Your miner with a few drinks is better than my best effort sober lmao
Lol, I don’t have a witty enough comment to reply to this
Good stuff
Thanks
Would love to see one of your builds on the steam work shop , so we can try it out of make something like in our own worlds.

I would love to upload all my builds to the workshop but i have a bug which doesn't allow me to upload them, currently trying to fix it

Yea, that is a good idea, ill see if i can get round to it in the next few weeks
thanks

You're gonna need a lot of thrust with all that cargo and hydro.
yea probably
For the betterment of the algorithm
I Appreciate you taking part in the experiment

I am a dwarf and I diggy a hole, Diggy diggy hole.
For the betterment of the algorithm ☝️
Maybe text series you can try for a mega-ship, just like this season you are doing a mega-rover!
I do have some plans for a next session, and it may or may not involve space and drones. but that's a good few months away yet
is there really no good way of making custom suspension whitout using the mod to allow for attaching blocks to suspensions?
A day late to the party, and still watching.
I was going to comment "quack", but I think I'll say "why not use action relays and event controllers for the truck loading chute?".

its an option but would have no easy way to know how full the rovers cargo is. Also appreciate taking part in my experiment

@@phforNZ haha actually you may be right, im not going to lie i haven messed around much with action relays or event controllers for that matter

@@phforNZ yea i know there powerful, if used correctly, i need to mess around with them more
Just wondering, what script you use for your inventory capacity display with the circle graph?
doing my duties to serve the algorithm overlords
you should do an encounter only run
Ever use the MArmOS script? And what script gives you that fill meter on the rover?
Ive never tried it but looks interesting, the script im using is ExcavOS
also the prototech update is out now, people show cased it in creative, but no one has showed how it feels in survival yet. So you can catch some hype by getting to the new content through survival first
I guess i could if im luck enough to find a base on this planet
🎉
what do you think the final weight will be roughly? just thinking you're at 30% strength already and there's a LOT more weight to be added.
Around 15 - 20 million kg its at 5 and a bit at the moment
How would you go about building a Rover which can rip across the planet at 100 m/s without crashing?
you dont :)
Here's the obligatory comment for your awesome vid
can you make a nice little scout drone for my scrap yard playthrough and put it on the workshop? :)
haha, I could but where would be the fun in that for you
@quantumchief actually using a functional drone and not having one that tips over all the time :(
Your driller/miner has go faster stripes
What mods are you using on your survival world?
Not allot, its mainly a vanilla worked with a few quality of life mods aswell as some pve mods
Make power from stone generator on the rover
Stone generator, do you mean use stone to build power cells?
What is your favourite colour chicken nuggets? Mine is purple :)
Just making a comment for the sake ot it how deep are we going with this
Very Deep Indeed

@@tylerstringer6084 hmm, hidden landing gear you say, I guess you mean ones that can be deployed, doesn’t sound too hard
@@quantumchief yep I have yet to see any one doing it I think it's because of clang or something but I think it'd be pretty sweet
Hi.
