I'm 99% sure Triton does have Cobalt. All planets have all resources except for Platinum and Uranium. All moons have all resources except for Uranium.
Corrections: Ice can also be found in snow (on mountains, etc) Magnesium can only be found in the dried up lake beds, when on Pertam Refinery Speed modules do work - they're a dumb idea for the most part, but they do actually work. Instead of a speed module, just build another refinery and module that up (usually, but consider your exact situation, speed modules may still be needed for your particular build)
wow i think no one ever made a detailed ore guide for SE1 yet congrats haha... on a personnal note for me at least i use pretty much all yields for any ore ( except ) ... the dreaded cobalt.... i use 1 refinery piped and dedicated to refine cobalt ore with full speed modules that crap takes ages to refine and you dont need that much of it so when you find some youll have loads for ages if you get a good haul.... so making grids and other stuff needing cobalt will not be a problem at all ( well given youve made a decent miner ship/rover/drill rig ) :D happy holidays!!!!
The production triangle: Time, Power, and Efficiency. You can min/max it for any one of the three or ignore them completely. Which of the three you pick will depend a lot on what your goal is.
I think you meant: The Assembler can't benefit from Yield Modules. Instead of the Refinery not benefiting from Speed Modules.

At least in my opinion, extra yield or power modules mean as long as you're willing to wait, you will have more mats period. If you don't care about squeezing every drop of resources, use speed.
So if you add a speed module to a refinery it won’t change anything, a refinery can’t refine any faster
...And how is that concluded? You can set up an experiment,place 2 refineries, one with 4 speed module and the other has no module, put enough ores in and wait for 10 minutes, you can see the refinery with 4 speed module turned more ores into ingot. As the result of my test shows ,when refinery speed set to realistic in world setting, in 10 minutes, ref with 4 spd module melt 0.8k uranium ore into 7.64 ingot, and ref with no module melt 0.2k of uranium ore into 1.88 ingot.

@@quantumchief mate, I think you mean assemblers cannot accept yield modules. You can't build 2 plates with the resources of 1. You can 100% put speed modules on refiners. It's the only way to get uranium ore in any kind of reasonable timeframe. My standard refiner setup is 2 yield, 1 speed, and one power efficiency. That way you get a single refiner doing the work of about 3-4.
I believe you are mistaken about speed modules on refineries. They increase the speed at which material is processed. I typically use 2 power and 2 speed on refineries, giving refine speed of 330%, and much reduced power requirements.
From my understanding they don’t change a refinery’s processing speed but things may have changed that I’m not aware of

I love their stuff One slight thing tho, the game audio seemed a little bit loud compared to the dialog audio of everyone at times Also don’t let people take away from how dope your build are initially too! It’s great having sone smart people come give it a final comb over for details you designed, built and layed the foundations :))
For planetary mining I use a rover with a smaller mining rig attached so I can fill it out with resources deposit it into the rover then ferry it back to my base when I’m done
Can't believe after like 8 years that pink is still the default grind color, or colour for you wrong folks.
I don’t think it was the default but yes the vibrantest of pinks have always been the perfect colour

Thanks, I have tried that to no luck, it’s a physics spike I think so I’m not sure if it’s anything I can do as it may just be a limit with the current game engine

You could run your timelapse character locked to your main grid with just game audio. Use it for clips in the video, but also release it as a separate video on it's own.

Thanks, as for a heavy rover it would depend on how heavy you are meaning, my largest rover the phoenix is around 12million kg and has a very strong custom suspension which uses the torque of hinges but I do have other which just use suspension blocks to operate the custom suspension
This no longer works on PC space engineers. I tried following this tutorial step by step but it's rubbish. It doesn't work. you cannot place blocks where the tutorial tells you example at 5:59 where the tutorial tells you to put the 1x11 wheel suspension so you go to do that but the wheel cannot be placed. FIX THIS
Yea, in one of the recent updates they hitbox for wheels and suspension block have changed, ill make a new one soon

Build something very similar a while back. The game really hate’s it, consider building a little smaller for better performance or get rid of the wheel segment in the middle and use thruster’s as main propulsion.
This design actually doesn’t cause any lag that’s particularly noticeable, there are certainly parts that can be improved but was more just a proof of concept
A small aesthetic that I notice is the lack of "edge" dressings on the armor blocks. Armor without edges was always one of my must have mods. *edit: Just got to the part of the video where this is explicitly pointed out 😂
11:47 so could u explain how yours work but mine doesn't, i cooy that 3 block wide one put it on a grid with power wheels aren't moving or turning but if i put a gyro on i can make it do wheelies. Starting to think rovers are pointless in se since if they cant bend or work in creative survival is pointless

I do like the way you set it up. Placing that suspension in between the swing arms works quite well. And the "lazy" wheels front and back is a master move. Solves the rigidity on a long bogey. How well does it turn? I'd love to see a full video tour!

Also Supper excited about doing small and micro grid building... like start with limiting to Only 25cm builds. Then move on to the small gridd equivalent (cant remember the cm/M off thevtop of my head) then on to lg grid/2.5M gridding. Gonna be so awesome!
Going in full boat on the 27th... the extra stuff is nice ( I have always been a bigger nerd for collectors that include soundtrack/music scores!) BUT my main thing is that I want to get in on the ground floor of the new 25cm grid system! I want to get a whole lot more into creative ship building! Station designing! Etc!

Considering how early into development this still is, I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of what we've seen is still just placeholder. Case in point, the UI looks very place-holder to me, a lot like the original SE1 UI actually. Things like that are usually some of the last elements to be finalized before a release, so I expect that to change. Same with the painting menu. While it's serviceable, I expect it to change a fair bit. For starters, not having an option to define custom colors seems odd, so I doubt that's the final version. The slowdown on collision isn't unexpected, considering that's always been an issue SE has had, but again they're probably still working on optimization and compared to how SE1 handled collisions even later into development, SE2 is already handling them far better. We'll see if holds up once planets are added, as those often compounded the physics load on the engine. As someone else who adores building rovers, I'm eager to see how the new game handles those. I've always had an issue with rovers taking tons of damage on even minor bumps despite my efforts to protect them. I was always baffled how people could jump rovers and land perfectly fine all the time when my own seemed to fly apart when going over minor bumps. I'm very curious if the new higher speed limits will cause issues with that or not. I will be interested in seeing if it'll be possible to build amphibious rovers now, with the new water on planets. I do hope, however, that they'll be a bit more lenient with weight balance in that regard though, as that was one of the more annoying aspects of the water mod in my opinion.
As a 1600+hr space engineer, I was disappointed in the livestream. In SE1, there is no challenge after you procure enough resources. In vanilla you can go to space with just your jetpack for goodness sakes. SE2, looks to be the same as SE1 other than the water physics, which is cool. The destruction physics will be useless until they add weapons. It's my favorite game of all time, but I dont want to pay again for the same features. Oh yeah, no character creator either 🤦♂️
You're looking at very early Alpha gameplay. I'm just glad they're releasing it for us to muck around with. I can wait for the improvements. We did that for SE1, after all.
Se 2 alpha is basically builder dream for builder pp. the survivor dream for pp like you may gonna need alot more time. I understand your disatified

@death13a YES! the 25cm grid is an awesome feature. No more decorative dlc, we'll jus Make our own stuff. And for 1 face painting - just use the 25cm blocks on that one side. And that's just the beginning. Honestly can't wait to get my hands on it. xD

So far it seems like they've spent a lot of time on how to improve what is already in SE1 or how to make it more accessible. But so not much on how they can bring the engineering experience and challenges to the next lvl. - besides adding liquids ofc. so i guess a lot is still to be seen. quite excited

Hi Chief :) A little trick (I've picked up from @Splitsie): Try adding "[TT]" to any and all tanks/containers/O2-H2 generators that store/refil your boTTles ;)
Not sure if you mentioned it later in the video but you can use CTRL + = with the build info/build vision and will holding a welder in your hand it can show you air tightness connection ports on something like your refinery and it can show you thruster exhaust damage etc.
