- Hello Everyone and welcome to Space Engineers, In this video try and build Disney's 'Holotile' floor, a omnidirectional treadmill allowing people to move in a vertical space whiles not moving in reality. It uses the endge of spinning disks to control which way objects move allowing for full 360 movement any ware on the pad. This idea to build it in space engineers was highly inspired by Scrapmans video where he trys building it in Scrap Mechanic.

If you enjoy what I do please consider liking the video and sub for more content in the future, it would mean allot.
Two notes for anyone trying to replicate this.
First, the tires contact with each other causing friction and phantom forces that could have explosive or other potentially unwanted results.
Two, wheels in space engineers have a sphere for a hit box rather then the visualized cylinder this may change your approach drastically.
Unwanted results. Such as, Making an unwanted rail gun.
Was watching this with interest, then you placed the wheel at 10:11, launching it. RUclips immediately afterwards gives me an ad lol.
I cant stands ad's
Fun video! I’m one of the inventors of the Holotile, and it is very flattering to see videos like this!
Ooooh nice mind a critique on my design lol made a knockoff pretty much but a real one
Willl probably as some anti control motion when I get some more time home
Very cool! its a cool design
@@quantumchief thank you! It was years of work!
@@preppertechnicianee6013 very cool! I will check it out!
Wheels moving at different speeds might be caused by them touching
Yea, i was thinking that, doesn't seam to make that much difference
I KNEW IT WAS BASED ON SCRAPMANS VIDEO!
Yea, I love the stuff he makes, just felt this game was perfect for the concept.
This is Cool
do you watch scrap man
Yes I do, I enjoy his content
Made a holotile on my channel as well
But in real life
Not a robust one but very fun going larger next time and I’ll add a brain to it as well
im sure its allot harder to do it in real life lol
@@quantumchief well at least nothing goes flying 1000 feet in the air
It wasn’t to bad noticed the contact point is offset from the center of rotation of the bottom rotor that will give you shifting when the bottom
Rotor moves unless you offset it by precisely back running the wheel I think that’s what Disney does
@@preppertechnicianee6013 yea i did think something like that may be needed, but not much i cant do in SE
