I can't see a 'Restore Previous Version' option when I click the "Info" tab. It doesn't come up when I right click on the document either. What am I missing? 😟
Excellent video. I accidentally deleted a spreadsheet containing a lot of links but remembered that I had recently emailed a friend the worksheet. I opened the email and the file. Created a new workbook, copied the worksheet over to the new one, then did the same thing with my original. Problem is that my links didn't work. This might save me a lot of time, without tracking paths, etc. Thank you.
For some reason I couldn't see the "version History" when clicking on the 'file' tab then 'info'. I was so confused and then I thought about right clicking on the document itself and so a "Restore previous versions" button and could see indeed the previous versions. BTW I'm using Excel 2016.
That's great! I'm so happy you were able to find the solution. Thanks so much for sharing about it. You've probably helped a good number of people out of a crisis 🙂 Thanks so much!
This was very helpful. But I wonder why only a June 2023 file was offered for recovery. Don't get me wrong, that was very helpful, but it would have been less painful had a more recent version been presented for recovery. Thanks again for you help
Ugh! That sucks, James! It could be that, somewhere along the way, the "Autosave" button was toggled off 🤷♀️ I'm sorry this wasn't able to help you better, but I really appreciate you watching and commenting. Thanks for that 🙂
Hi. Thanks for your question. Can you double check to see if you have an Info tab? From your Excel ribbon, click the File tab. The Info tab would be here if you have it.
