WOW, can't comprehend you guys doing all that exposed scrambling for that long! Kudos to Spencer and Brayden for providing some great footage. What a paradise the Indian Peaks is 🙏. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
That was a real treat for me, I was first taken up to Brainard Lake in the 1950s and have taken many others up there over the decades. We only scrambled around on the lower stuff and Pawnee Pass, never venturing where you guys went on this hike. The 4k and drone views are fantastic, it was thrilling to go across those ridges and look down on that beloved region, thank you for all your effort.
That was incredible Karl! I backpacked back a couple weeks when I was 10 and again 12 years old over the divide to Monarch lake and the first night was always to camp at Isabelle lake and I would dream about and wondered if anyone had the abilities to traverse this Isabelle glacier cirque and now I know and should have guessed you would be one that could accomplish all that in one day. Extraordinary sir!
Huge day Karl! It’s such a scramblers paradise with views second to none. Glad you guys had fun with extra credit of “Faith Gully” and Niwot Ridge. Not sure if the exact route has ever been done before so nice work all
We were kind of thinking that too about Faith Gulley shoshone, it was really Spectacular with all the towers. Also super stressful wondering if we were going to be able to get out the top. I was pretty surprised how exposed portions of my what Ridge was as well. I was expecting that to be a casual walk, did you hear me mention you in the video?
I'm late to this video, but I had to comment about the nodule sticking up on the ridge between Apache and Navajo. It has a name. It's called Dicker's peck. I've always found that name to be somewhat amusing. I think it may have been given that name by Gerry Roach. Maybe not. In his 13er book he described climbing it.
Well, thanks for the comment, that entire area is intensely beautiful and inspiring. The actual climb/scramble was very strenuous and at times exposed. All I can tell you is it was a long, long day!
Not bad, definitely fairly direct but, I would be ready for some route finding and maybe a touch of class 4 down climbing crossing Niwot ridge. Going up airplane gulley 1st to Navajo and then deciding how you feel on the way back might be the best way to approach Niwot Ridge., It was longer than I expected.
While that is true it is also the reason there are no drone shots over Shoshone peak or near the traverse. All drone flights were conducted south of the wilderness boundary, roughly defined by Niwot Ridge to Navajo peak. I do my best to respect wilderness areas and make cool videos.
Almost 1,000 subs. Well deserved. Those of us that have followed the channel since you were at like 150 are watching a beautiful thing ❤️
Man, that means a lot to me my friend! The support we feel from Subscribers like you keeps the fire burning. Thank you 🙏

The quality of these videos is unbelievable!! Thanks for making these, such a joy to watch. Already looking forward to the next one.
Love hearing that! Spend big hours editing these, but it's worth it when you guys appreciate it. Enjoy, thanks again David!
A group of us did this in 1977 in the winter only in the reverse direction. It was quite intense.
That's cool, it was a LONG day my friend, without snow!!
@@KarlDeckerPresents At least we could camp right in the middle of the lake when we were done! Nice flat spot but in the winter, perfect!
Incredible production quality
Thanks for noticing my friend, that's what we strive for!!

Thanks for the info! That's hilarious and informative 👍
That looks like a fun time! What stats did you get for the loop?

That was awesome man! How difficult is it to go Niwot ridge to Navajo? Ive had my eye on that for a while
Not bad, definitely fairly direct but, I would be ready for some route finding and maybe a touch of class 4 down climbing crossing Niwot ridge. @@deckersolutions4798 thank you sir!
So, it is comparable to Ellingwood Ridge (but obviously considerably longer)?
And way more astatic! The ridge had a long loose traverse through the mid section.
@@KarlDeckerPresents Karl, have you done the Zodiac Ridge around Silverthorne/Red Peak?
The traverse is in the Indian Peaks Wilderness. Drones are illegal...
