Honestly, the way you open yourself up to our traditions back home in your videos is next to none. Sonny inspires me to travel to Vietnam and meet family I never met before. Both channels also make me incredibly hungry.

Galangal is such a unique flavour, I didn’t like it at first, but it grew on me, and would request dishes with it in. I miss it now, haven’t had anything with it in for ages☹️

mind you foreigners who never tried fermented pork before ( or anything fermented really) you might find it a little harder to digest and even a slight stomachache . Thats completely common as your body is just not used to the new food. Its just like a lot of us Vietnamese struggle with the milk in the US where i been living past couple of years. Anyways CHUC MUNG NAM MOI can't thank you enough for showing the world how beautiful Vietnamese cuisine really is !

And the reason why I know it’s his dad is because he was waiting on his car and out of nowhere he asked me if I’ve ever seen “the best ever food review show” with sonny and I was like yeah!!!! And he went on talking about how the guy on the show was his son and he was telling me about his daughter-in-law and his grandson and how he speak English, Cantonese and Mandarin. So either the guy was really his dad or a weirdo 😂😂
