I distinctly remember watching this special back in the day. Mind you, I was just 5 or 6 when it aired. But even then, I was awed by this man's voice, style, and the class he presented himself with. Unlike Elvis, Alice Cooper, Abba, Tom did not give his backup bands the spotlight much, Great performer, but not the nicest guy in my opinion. If u played for E, u got a solo+almost equal booking, on the billboard+up front the stage with him, Would not have noticed big Jim if u did not mention it.
