I'm Growing Old is my favorite. 💜
Growing old is a privilege and a challenge. I grew old too (now 65), but my best friend is a little Hawaiian lady who is 87. She has great positive Energy which inspires me. Your energy and outlook inspires me, too! I almost got to see you perform in San Jose, but it was cancelled, and I was so heartbroken. Hopefully, I WILL get to see/hear you perform before one of us passes away. 😊 I luv every song you've ever sung, but most of all, 'What's New, Pussycat", which I scream-sing in my truck while I drive the lonely highway to town in Texas, where I live. Keep growing old, Mr. Tom Jones! This world needs You! 💗💗💗

I am 68 and I was fortunate to have seen Janis Joplin in Kansas City, Kansas at The Memorial Hall Auditorium on a Sunday afternoon in 1969 , I don't remember the month but she was with The Full Tilt Boogie Band and Sea Train opened the show, she was wonderful, I was only 14 or 15 and my friend Steve Sassman and I went, his Mom dropped us off and after the show we went to McDonald's and ate $.15 cheeseburgers and$.12 fries , Janis did two shows that day and we went to the early one, she was a great singer and I will always remember her, RIP Janis

McDonald's in my hometown opened in 1970. Three burgers, one fries, one fountain soda, for 96 cents. I can't remember if the burgers were cheeseburgers. (But I would think they were.) I distinctly remember always getting 4 cents change back. Back in the day. 😊

One of the truly legendary live performance one-off duets EVER broadcast on television...hands down...don't even try to deny this magical meeting of two absolute powerhouse/full-on vocalists of the time (hell, of...uh, EVER)
This is like a meeting of two legendary masters who push each other to higher and higher levels of intensity/dynamics/power/soulfulness/electricity/passion and they're totally in some kind of rarified air where they are completely committed to phenomenal greatness of their otherworldly musical connection...and, both Janis and Tom keep pushing the performance at as high a level that they can...and, then, they are able to take things higher...into some supersonic stratosphere that is coming from a very deep and personal place that cannot be learned or trained...it is just something that certain people either have or, the don't. Many may be technically superior to Joplin and Jones BUUUUUUUT, they rarely are able to just let themselves go with such powerful and relentless abandon. THIS IS PURE EMOTION. PURE FEEL. PURE POWER.
    Freakin magical
We are so fortunate that these almost unexplainably magical and, once in a lifetime moments, have been preserved so that the people of future generations can witness something that is completely HUMAN and, POWEFULLY SO, and, be blown away by the manner in which something so ORGANIC can move them so profoundly
