Bahrain Farmer's Market (2022)

The Bahrain Farmer's Market in Budaiya, also known as Budaiya Farmer's Market/Botanical Garden, is a seasonal market for buying local fruits and vegetables. Locally grown vegetables and fruits are the featured products, you can buy directly from the producers.
I'm sharing my experience here, of course you might be looking for something else to buy there. The selection is very good and of course the freshness is excellent. In general, you will pay less money for the fresh local produce at this time of year compared to your local supermarket such as Carrefour. I did not feature much about the food trucks but there are a few in the market but it is not the main attraction.
In addition to the vegetable merchants, there are also some educational booths done by the Ministry where they are featuring local bee farmers, date tree information and tomato plant information. This may change from week to week but this is what we noticed at the time of visiting.
It would be great if it were possible that the market was open year round. But as you know, almost everywhere in the world has their growing season and offseason so at least there is something to look forward to when the season is done!
