Thank you Cameron. I am just getting started with the double bass/kick pedal, could you please do a video on slide technique. I love your videos! 20 views? If the world was fair it would be 20mil views!
Hey Steve I can add that to the list as well! As far as views are concerned, I just hope that I'm able to help drummers out. Whether it's 20 or 2 million.
4th tip Stop Trying to play too fast, i can play fast, but does it sound good? No it sounds terrible same thing with hand and foot technique It cant be rushed and consistency is key
Hey Cameron. I’m starting to learn the double bass pedal and want to understand the different techniques at the different speeds/bpm. I can go full leg up until about 140. 150-160 feel weird to do with ankle technique but I can’t do with full leg. 170+ seem like they would be good for ankle, but my left leg is only good for 3 seconds on any speed above 140 lmao. Does this all seem somewhat relevant to ur opinion on technique change for different speeds?
Hey Steve, most definitely! 170 is a really awkward transitional tempo in between techniques. I wouldn't say there's a one size fits all for this, but what you're describing is pretty common. Check out my double bass drumming playlist as there's a lot of stuff you may find helpful in there! Let me know how you make out 🤘
Happy new year Cam, definitely those are crucial mistakes that all of us have done in a period of our life, one more to add in here is that along with those you mention is to be relaxed and live through the song you play and not just being a robot there ... be one with the song
Build control on your double pedals so you can finally play what you want with my free mini course: academy.cameronfleury.com
Band name: tolerable acquaintance
Wonder if the band members would be able to stand each other?

The transition tempos are the fucking worst
