Thanks for the quick recap. I agree that the V4.4 is much nicer. The current set-back in EEVEE (for me) is that we can't create HDRI panoramic backgrounds, which would be great for this add-on! However, Blender 3.0 Cycles X is supposed to (hopefully?) allow us to render volumetrics as with this add-on. I'm excited about that possibility, but the developer of PureSky told me he has not been able to get it to work with the Alpha version. Still keeping my fingers crossed though!
all in all im finding this add to be more trouble than worth, the huge clipping and camera setting make this a niche/gimmick addon and not useful without compromising mist every aspect of your workflow around it, I really thought it would be a click and add, such ad making a city scene, adding the sky and adjusting, but its no where near that, at all turns you have to adapt your scene to the scaling and clipping problems. Ive tried to use this with cycles and compositing eevee and cycles layers but again, more weirdness.... IMHO this product need to fix the basic problems.... Ive looked for more indepth tutorials and such, but they are all not practical examples...
I agree with everything you said. I can't find anyone actually making anything with this addon. It's addon click bait. I've gotten some really nice skies but I can't add other volume scatters.
Thanks for posting this. I got the full addon. It came with fifteen zip files to download and no documentation, so I have been pretty confused. I guess they included every version there was but I didn't know if I should install any of them.
ive been working with this addon for months and never been able to actualy use it in eevee or cycles, as far as I gan get it, I have to composit it in later due to the extreeme focal lengths making anything totaly warped.. would love a real how to use the latest version and with cycles as to using it with any assets in the foreground... please...
having trouble with the scaling of things with it, You have to scale everything HUGE wich makes problems with alota things, also they messaged me cycles is in the works for it, but no timeframe. all in all been playing with it for about a month, still working around the scaling issue and really have hard time controlling fog as Id like...

Holy skies! How come anything in Blender is compatible with Eevee, but not with Cycles? :O It's always been the other way - if something was only compatible with one of them, it was Cycles, not Eevee. Eevee's always been behind.
I bought the full version and when I use the EEVEE version it's just a big glowing mess. Same with ''Stellar". I get three huge planets and a bunch of noise. lol. The cycles version works okay, but it's a wicked resource hog and none of it looks nearly as good as what he shows in this video.
@@drcyclops3d575 I actually have no problems with it rendering in cycles, but it really just sort of gives you a sort of painterly sky and doesn't have any of the volume we see in this preview. Fog is just a mist effect. I've gone back to making volumetric fog and using HDRIs for lighting. I talked to the makers and they're trying to get a fix of Eevee out.
It's very hard to use. I cant make volume cubes to make my own ground fog and smoke physics. I haven't seen any real complete scene tuts. Only demonstrations. Such promise but disappointed.
I am a fan of this developer, I am also a mac user. Until recently, most of his plugins stated that they were not compatible with mac, however, they all worked for me. I am not too sure, but I will purchase it and see if it works on my machine. If I have any luck I will post it here if not then you will also know. This developer is a very nice guy, but doesn't have a mac to test his plugins on so he usually states that the plugins are not compatible to avoid any issues.
Hi everyone! Let me know what you think about Pure Sky Pro in the comments below! :)
This is the best sky blender add-on in blender history... :)
REALLY CRAZY HOW LONG BLENDER HAS COME !!!
Looking good :)
Thanks for the overview, I wish there was more tutorials about this addon.
im having problem with pure sky when using botaniq add ons, the object went to small for the scenes, how to adjust pure sky to fit to the scenes?
Now Pure Sky version 4.5 has released!!!
Great video thanks for telling
No problem 👍

has there been any progress with Cycles?
This looks really good, but I do find the "funky camera things" very frustrating if trying to compose anything other than an extreme wide-angle scene.
Hey is it possible to light the scene using this and to render the clouds and stars and moon on a cycles render ?

i like it but the only problem is clipping. whenever i set clip to 0.1, sky is not HD. is there way to get HD with 0.1 clip?
No because if you set the clipping that close you have volumetric particles blocking your camera and making it grainy
