You guys should give history about the dance moves you are stealing... the least you can do is acknowledge who invented it and when and where it came from... at the bare minimum.
You think yall came up with on beat dance moves to a dance called black bottom?! From the 20's at that? im laughing my black bottom off 😂🖤
Thank you for your comments and I apologise for the oversight we did write a detailed Blog about the history of this dance at the time we created this piece. The Blog seems to come down from our website so I will correct that and add the link. We are small company of two working Mums so I’m afraid things do get missed. I would like to assure you we are passionate about dance from this era and put a lot of time into researching the history, which is hard as it is not well documented. I would be interested to know why you don’t think this dance is from the 1920’s whilst dates aren’t precise Jelly Roll Morton wrote the original tune in the first decade of the 20th Century. All the sources I read agreed the dance became popular in the 1920’s. If you have information which states otherwise I would be interested to learn more? Thanks again for watching although you didn’t get to see my bottom as I am not in this performance!
