    i came here because last night it was a jam session so i hopped on the drums and the lead singer was singing and playing gispy kings so i messed it because i didnt know the pattern on the drums i got embarrassed .

    A warm idea as inspired by this brilliant man: play paradiddle patterns to the groupings of this beat while accenting the accents of the original beat on the bass drum and keeping a whole note pulse on the left foot. The paradiddle pattern will be this: R l r r, L r l l, R l r r l l, R l r r l l, R l r r. Repeated again now but with left hand lead to start. A warm up idea , not a musical one just to note. Anyone like it? Inspired by the drummer in this video btw, thanks for the inspiration
