Very nice layout. As a recent retiree, I have rekindled my love of Lionel trains.I have a nice collection of engines & cars from when I was a kid in the 50s & 60s and all I need now is to build a layout and enjoy. Once again, nice layout.
Simply wonderful your layout really evokes the look and feel of a lionel dealer layout. I love the vintage motor sounds, the black bake lite, the big orange buttons and the sound of the train running around the tubular track. You can't get that sound with fast track.
That is a great first layout. You accomplished your goal of a dealer display look. I know I would have loved to have a layout like that when I was growing up. Thanks for sharing.
Nice work. I probably saw a replica of my 1940x white refrigerator car stand for the last time. Mine was sold B/4 1960. I do remember my Lincoln Logs and Erector set which gave me hours of pleasure. I really wish these toys were not sold or given away as they can not be replaced.
Out standing, I`m building a 12' x 8' layout with Lionel and Marx all prewar hardware . I mounted the Lionel tender whistle in side the water tank . I have three postwar lionel engines and five prewar custom painted Marx , that will knock your eye out .
I'm speechless every time I watch this video! Absolutely amazing, you did it! Looks just like a dealer layout. I love it! I am planning on making one very close to yours.
you nailed it kid! very cool, it just is Lionel display layout. great how you wired the accessories and switches on fixed voltage, so much better. this is exactly how a young person would've done it, then slid it under the bed, great hobby to teach planning and wiring and patience!
Since I’m building my ceiling layout in my bedroom, I’m actually going to take it off the wheels and move it in there and get it mounted on legs once the upper layout is finished. Then I’ll have a pretty cool O gauge bedroom. 😉
Wow this is my kind of layout! I saw your banjo signal. I saw it barely moving and was wondering if that's how they normally operate? Because mine does the same thing where it barely moves unless I give it around 20V!
Are you using a O-31, black tie, 3-rail system? I’m trying to do an O-31 layout on a 36” x 80” door slab. I know there was a site called Thors Trains that had exactly a section for doorway layout using the O-31 track, but the site was taken down because the guy died. I wish I saved those images. At the moment I’m in SCARM trying to figure out how to make my track more interesting.

Great retirement hobby. I am a recent railroad retiree doing the same. I have a hard time choosing a scale.

Very cool vintage looking layout. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Why the prewar Lionel trains and accessories are mesmerizing? I love your layout.

Thank you very much sir! 12x8? Now that’s something I’d like to have one day. I can’t wait to see yours when it’s finished!

FANTASTIC, very well thought out!!splendid work!!!
LOVE it!! Your music choices are perfect!
Thank you so much! 😁
Wow! Just goes to show you don't need a lot of real estate to build a great layout. Very well done!
Exactly, I want to show that you don’t need a big space for an O gauge layout. Thanks for watching!

Like to do the same with my layout, it's a postwar style O-27 line. Small space, big fun.
Great workmanship. Awesome job on your layout.
Very nice compact layout and video. Love mixture of pre and post war equipment. Thanks for sharing.
Cool layout with classic Lionel operating accessories. "Nice mixture" 😎
• Cheers from the Detroit & Mackinac Railway 🚂
Thanks Gary! 😃
Very nice! You've captured the look of a dealer display layout.
All That!!....fits on that 4x8?? Wow.....IMPRESSIVE. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻❤❤LOVE THE LAYOUT
Thanks Christoffer! It’s actually 3x7 and I thought it would be too small for the track to fit, boy was I wrong… 😂
You did a awesome job now know the layout I want for my O scale train I have HO where I can run 3 of them I like tubular track too
Well done. Very nice layout and locomotives.
Thanks Joey!
Great Layout!!!! Thanks for Sharing!
This was a year ago where we at today really good detail for a 4x8
It’s so nice and with the LA NOIRE music
i wanted to do my layout in this style , but its a 4 by 4 on legs and that's ok. great job. u can add and or subtract what ever you want to.
That’s a very inventive way to build a laurel on wheels

Just subscribed. Like your layout. Looks like Kittworks track plan really neat. Neat locomotives.
Thanks Guss!!
Nice layout.
I see you are using an insulated track section for your crossing gate and gateman and wig wag
Well done!!!
Very nice

Is the track O or O-27? I'm assuming it's O since the ties aren't brown and you're using 022 switches.
Awesome!
very Nice
Brilliant
Is this a door you have this on?
woooooooooooooow .. that's nice too..
Great ! Ilove it .
I like it.
can you give me the turnouts. I like this layout
What is the size of the layout? Thank tippy!
3x7 feet! 😉
💯💪💪🚂🚂
Nice work, what boomer wouldn't love this?
Great...but slower running would be better methinks...
