Phycological warfare at its finest Also it's a harrier variant, so it's a VTOL plane, so you can pull INSANE turns if you use thrust vectoring (45°-75°) making it turn faster than an SU-27 or F-15 (you will lose speed tho, so use sparingly) Finally, since it's a harrier, so even tho it has a mediocre top speed and bad energy retention, your acceleration compensates for it

The AV-8B def isn’t a sitting duck for me Agile enough to get missiles and guns on. And anyone trying to out energy you in vertical fights with lose just about 97% of the time. Thrust “vectoring” to perform some out of pocket tricks, enough flares to make someone reconsider turning on a seeker head. It caps out at about 690 mph, which is still a good enough speed to actually be competitive. Crazy acceleration lets you get into fights and rebuild speed like crazy. Def one of my favorite planes to take out to go fight at the br range.
Agreed. I dobt have the AV-8B but on paper its similat to the gr7, which ironically ist one of my best performing top tier planes, and i have quiet a lot of them (f16, su27, mig29, mirage 2000/4000s etc.)

Also if you hover in this thing (and especially the AV-8B+), pulse-Doppler radars lose track of you, as you are filtered out as a stationary object. This makes you pretty much immune against ARH missiles.
For anyone else out there: this plane can be an absolute beast in air and ground sim. It uses the F-18's radar so it can fool players who don't know what's pinging them on radar. 9Ms are great missiles overall, and it has the capabilities to take off from carriers which can help you get up to speed and flying far faster than a normal runway takeoff. The laser weaponry is also great for taking out AI and player targets from ships to tanks, even helis if they're flying low and slowly enough. 🤟🏾
They prob will also add it to America as soon as other countries get more top tier, im a US air main and I think its fair cause US has 6(well 7) rank 8 jets while russia has like 5, and germany like 4, and italy had 4 before APEX PREDATORS so it has 6 aswell
AIM-120 AMRAAM missiles are missiles with active radar homing meaning all the guidance stuff is in the missile so the aircraft doesn’t need to keep locking the target
10 laser guided bombs is impressive but it's still a subsonic plane at 11.7 ground RB. So I doubt it can easily drop the bombs without getting instantly vaporized by SPAAs
@milescreaghan-ju5uc oh yeah, I guess it helps, I'm more concerned about the ability to reach high altitudes fast as it is very useful for laser bombs loadouts but being subsonic might take a while. I dunno I'm used to fly Mirage and drop from 10,000 m above enemy SPAA
Fox 3s/active radar homing missiles, contemporary to the R-77. The acronym itself stands for Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missile. TLDR, Fox 3s are completely fire and forget in a similar manner to Fox 2s (IR missiles) unlike Fox 1s (SARH missiles, semi-active radar homing) that require the target to still be locked onto after firing for guidance. (i.e. not entirely fire and forget)
