Note that the spells from the race are not ALWAYS PREPARED, unlike the domain spells. They are ADDED to your class spell list, so you still have to prepare it within your number of prepared spells. It's still HUGE on a twilight cleric tho! I'm building a half-drow (with human statistics) from the One D&D playtest UA for a super tanky melee twilight cleric with booming blade, but now I'm strongly considering the conjure animals route tho! Very cool

I’m playing a Dhampir Twilight Clerk. Current level 4. Untouchable right now.

Was picking the chef feature optimal at level 4? Probably not. Is it fun serving up manticore steaks for dinner? Definitely. Snacks are one of my (hill dwarf) clerics few vices / comforts. Hims a chonky boy.

Doesn't have to be optimal. Has to be fun

@@DapperSnapperGaming my sentiment exactly. Weapon proficiency with a wooden spoon (chefs tools) ? Yup!!! (Just like my granny)
Was thinking of getting a meat cleaver style axe made and lean into the butcher thing a little. 🤗

@@DapperSnapperGaming a newer player and kind of got nudged to playing cleric with my friends (as they needed a healer) and was a little ... hesitant. Didn't want to go straight up "life"
Cleric and sort of be pigeon holed there so went "twilight" instead.
Glad I did as my position seems to change in each encounter rolling out constant temp
HP and having to get in there and pick up tanking duties a good bit. Picked up the heavy armor and Sheild to bump up the AC . Twilight sanctuary, spiritual weapon round 1 and spirit guardians Round 2 and we're off to the races. Toll the dead is a favorite cantrip too.
Really been enjoying the class so far (lvl 6). Haven't sprung the "steps of night" yet but am looking forward to popping that at some point.
Thanks for the r video and tips.

    DMG?
You can summon Birbs like Giant Owls so Frontliners like Barbs can do something against Flyiers.
I think you can command your Animal Buddies to use Help Action against upto 8 opponents.
If anything, you can summon big Animal like Cow to use them as moving cover.
And they all get Temp Hp EVERY TURN.
Please dont use this on on going campaign, DM is part of the game too.

For sure. This is why I said talk to your DM at least 3 times in the video. It is incredibly powerful. At the same time, the same could be said about the Shepherd Druid that uses this spell in a similar fashion. DM needs to know what you're up to

Who needs multiclassing if you get conjure animals for free right?

Started this build to the letter from 1-8. This build is so cracked at 8 because of summoning shenanigans. Next level I was considering multi classing into something else so my party can catch up. What do you recommend?
