  • In this video we are replacing the engine in the 335i because the crank bolt had decided to pull the threads out of crank. We have seen 3 engines blow up from crank up failures in these N54 engines so we went ahead and upgraded to the VTT splined crack hub in this new engine we are installing in this video. Hope you guys enjoy the video make sure to like, comment an subscribe more content on the builds coming soon!!

    i snapped that bolt clean off at 8500 rpm. i built another engine with the vargas plined hub with the bolt catches and i have had it on two motors and its holding strong. definitely recommend. if you didnt bend the valves or break any springs you got really lucky.

    I'm confused. What happened to the broken crank? Did he put a whole new bottom end in or a new crank and chain or what was the situation?

    • @psychoticstreetbuilds

      The threads got pulled out of crank so I ended up just getting another used long block and getting the splined crank hub installed on replacement motor. Thanks for watching new videos on car coming soon stay tuned.

    Which hood and front bumper cover? Ducted to the front rotors or just the oil cooler?

    • @psychoticstreetbuilds
      @psychoticstreetbuilds  Год назад

      Hood is factory e90 LCI front bumper is 1M style and passenger duct feeds oil cooler and driver side feeds secondary radiator for coolant.

      @@psychoticstreetbuilds was it with new seals and decouplers atleast? Cause once they're removed they won't seal the injector bore properly again. You run the risk of ovaling out the bore. New seals form to the shape of the bore to get a perfect seal or else might run into issues. Its like $60 for seals/decouplers. Replace them before it cause you more headaches/money.

      I did install new seals on the injectors just never unbolted them from the rail.

    • @psychoticstreetbuilds

      Both setups can be reliable, all depends on the kits, what turbos and install some people have luck with eBay twins and some have problems with expensive single kits.
