- In this video we are replacing the engine in the 335i because the crank bolt had decided to pull the threads out of crank. We have seen 3 engines blow up from crank up failures in these N54 engines so we went ahead and upgraded to the VTT splined crack hub in this new engine we are installing in this video. Hope you guys enjoy the video make sure to like, comment an subscribe more content on the builds coming soon!!

The BMW 335 making mechanics out of owners since 2007 lol.
Facts 😆
@@xaviercarts7419 Still love to hate it.
lol
Hella true lol
@@bavarianhero I have a Lexus sc300 with a 2jzgte big single but as far as fun per mile goes I will never sale my 335.
i snapped that bolt clean off at 8500 rpm. i built another engine with the vargas plined hub with the bolt catches and i have had it on two motors and its holding strong. definitely recommend. if you didnt bend the valves or break any springs you got really lucky.
Good job man, glad too see that the car is back on the road. This also happened to me about a month ago.
idk if u built the engine prior to this but i think it was the 06-08 models that were truly the best ones for this
Dang bro mad skillz!! Bravo
The end too funny “gotta bolt that back in” too funny
Just subscribed and I’m not disappointed!
I'm confused. What happened to the broken crank? Did he put a whole new bottom end in or a new crank and chain or what was the situation?
The threads got pulled out of crank so I ended up just getting another used long block and getting the splined crank hub installed on replacement motor. Thanks for watching new videos on car coming soon stay tuned.
Nice build. I need a lift in my life.
Which hood and front bumper cover? Ducted to the front rotors or just the oil cooler?
Hood is factory e90 LCI front bumper is 1M style and passenger duct feeds oil cooler and driver side feeds secondary radiator for coolant.
I feel sad for his hands, all those chemicals at such a young age. By the time he’s 45 he’s gonna have 200 grit hands lol
Man yal don't be playin with these euro joints
The way you just slapped those injectors in all at once 😳
Lol wasn’t the most ideal way but it’s running solid and compression numbers look good. Wouldn’t recommend installing like that though.
@@psychoticstreetbuilds was it with new seals and decouplers atleast? Cause once they're removed they won't seal the injector bore properly again. You run the risk of ovaling out the bore. New seals form to the shape of the bore to get a perfect seal or else might run into issues. Its like $60 for seals/decouplers. Replace them before it cause you more headaches/money.
I did install new seals on the injectors just never unbolted them from the rail.
You gotta bunji those calipers not just let them hang by the brake line.
Do you think the 2 step has to do with it?
I don’t think it has anything to do with 2step.
What front bumper is that bro?? Let me know thanks or anyone that’s knows what it is would appreciate it 😅
1m style
@@psychoticstreetbuilds thanks bro 😎
Hell yeah this dude is with the shits
Sure wish you guys lived nextdoor 😊 looks fun if you know what the hell you're doing & have a couple $($$$)

What wheels are those ?? Specs??

@@psychoticstreetbuilds I appreciate it, just got a Coupe with the same color and mannn yours looks so clean

What turbo and what exhaust

@@psychoticstreetbuilds wouldn’t the stock exhaust be pretty restrictive

Yeah they can be new exhaust system coming soon stay tuned.

dam bro
Nice asf
When i see this i know why n54 is so "unreliable"... LET ENGINE WARM UP!! Before accelrate like this... 🙄🙄 oil cold as ice and full trottle is not good...
bruh are you in LA??
Nah bro we in nor cal
@@psychoticstreetbuilds where in NorCal are you at?
Sac area
Two bets cars tk own a Toyota minitruck and bmw 335i
So what's more unreliable😆...single or twin turbo
Both setups can be reliable, all depends on the kits, what turbos and install some people have luck with eBay twins and some have problems with expensive single kits.
Doesn't matter. Push that engine its going to pop.
That is why I prefer twin turbo
