I grew up with the original version of the 360 edition that came on the disc, as I never figured out how to connect a 360 to the internet since I was a small goblin kid at the time lmao, so many precious memories. I still haven't gotten used to the crafting and inventory UI that's used now-and-days.
A nice trick to use when locating buried treasure is using f3. When you are over the x on the map, look at your coordinates and move around in the same chunk the x is in until the chunk coordinates read (9, x, 9) and mine down. I might’ve explained that poorly but there is a trick in finding the chests every single time, first try

With the treasure map you are right about the butt of the arrow but you need to be facing north. if you are facing north you will be looking down at the correct square to mine.

a little tip for villagers, you can take all their beds and place the beds in a hole and then ring the village bell, all of them will go where all the beds are so you get all the villagers in one place, good luck for this series bro:)
You should've smelted down those chainmail boots for nuggets, then convert them to ingots... I know its a bit of a hassle but its better than wasting them. Plus, instead of just killing the cows initially, you should've penned them up and bred them to get the amount you needed. It also didn't look like you had a sugarcane setup which would've helped speed the process up. Thorns also degrades your armor faster, so in other words...it's garbage.

I noticed you locked in thorns. One thing about thorns is that it damages your gear MORE then what normal gear would get damaged, that’s why a lot of people don’t use it! Buy it is your world so do what you like, just wanted to say incase you didn’t know. 1:04:18
I enjoyed the video but may i make a suggestion, you should install the texture pack vanilla tweaks (there’s also some data packs but i presume you want to keep it vanilla) where it improves small things and makes the playing experience better imo have fun and I will be tuning in for this series 🫡
I should’ve mentioned you can pick what features you want like dark ui or smaller shields you can pick basically any small problem with minecraft and pick what you want to fix and what you like visually
