I just purchased the latest version of Autel MaxiCOM MK906 Pro -TS in December, 2023. It now has Android 10 with 128 GB internal storage and 4 GB internal RAM. Even though the user manual says supports up to 32GB SD card I was able to successfully use both a 64GB and 128GB SD cars. I called Autel support and they said max SD size was 32 GB. !!!!! So it seems to me with Android 10 up to 132 GB SD cad AND Flash drives work. I did test with 128 GB flash drive. Finally a 32GB SD card did not have enough apace for my INITIAL Backup. That is what drove me trying 64 and 128 GB SD cards. Hopefully this information is helpful to someone.
As you are updating the Mini VCI, the left hand side shows that there is no connection, and also, the bottom of your tablet shows that it is red, meaning there is no connection with your VCI, but once the download is complete, the left hand side indicates a connection. Why was there no connection while it was downloading? Also the icon at the screen bottom turns green at the same time as there is a connection on the left of the screen. Can you explain that to me? I recently had to send back a new tablet MK808BT PRO because it would jump from red to green, and then back again, which I thought was a malfunction. Thx
I only use the cable for charging the VCI inside the house if I have not used it for a long time or for updating it so this is not my normal way of use. The VCI connection should be stable once you get it linked to the Autel. You cannot service a car when the VCI has the red x. As a rule I plug the VCI into the car first and then turn on or wake up the Autel. If you do it the other way around it can be annoying to make the connection between the two. I think you made the right decision to send it back.
My internal storage on the Maxisys Elite shows around 2.6gb and another area shows 54gb? Not sure even after installing SD Card I am unable to download programming files to program modules.
The instructions call for the Mini VCI to be connected to the car's OBD II while downloading the VCI, but you did it without making the connection, is that okay to do?
The VCI needs power to be updated so you can use an OBDII port or the USB cable. The cable method I used works well and is handy for people who do not have wifi where they service cars.
Once you do the file update to the SD card, how do you delete that update from the card? I want to permanently delete all updates that pertain to vehicles that I will never work on. Thx
I do not think there would be any benefit to do that. I think your time would be better spent working on something than trying to save a bit of space on the SD card.
I always switch the WiFi off when a subscription is about to expire and then they can't disable the device. I have been using my MK808 for almost three years with the WiFi switched off and without a subscription or issues.

Thak you..just added a 64g memory card to my Autel im508..formated as fat32 and was accepted and recognized...
Thank you. This made it really easy.
Thanks. I was over here about to send the 128gb card I bought off Amazon right the hell back. Would have sucked if it didn’t work.
Nice to know. I tried using a bigger card in my MS906BT and it wasn’t having it.
That's unfortunate, what size card were you using?
