Thanks for this. You are a great teacher. I learned, and then promptly forgot, a couple turnarounds so have been the guy who noodles all over the neck with single note leads and four note chords but without ever re-setting with a turnaround. I just bookmarked this video for future reference. Now I'm going to turn around and go play my guitar.

Real nice the way you explained that! Great fingerstyle, very smooth in your technique, and I've always wanted to have a classic paisley print tele! Intros and turnarounds have always been a weakness for me. I've learned a few over the years, but never had some of the fancier ones in my repertoire. I mostly use turnarounds coming from a jazz sense of chordal harmony, like a back cycle. I've always loved ALL styles of Blues though! I would say Lightnin' Hopkins is the most prolific I've heard with sooo many ways of playing intros, rhythm grooves and turnarounds. And of course my favorite, Johnny Winter would be another one! That guy had the most incredible Blues chops and a ton of ways of playing many styles of blues. I especially loved the way he played the more folk style with Muddy!
