I am a medical student in Jamaica.I enjoy listening to your teaching rounds sir.Thank you for your teaching and kindness. I always believe that a person with alot of knowledge that doesnt teach others during his life ,is like a rich man that dies without children to inherit his wealth.Children is considered a persons legacy, the legacy(offsprings) of a person with alot of knowledge is his students. After all it is known that a mans wealth is his children, and a teacher's wealth is his students. Having many students is like having many children, these students becomes a teachers intellectual offsprings.
This was an amazing experience, I was literally nodding along to all your words and answering questions that you asked. Im a 3rd year MBBS student and I loved how you asked atypical questions from outside medicine, like “what is coprophagia?” And the significance of evolutionary shortening of Appendix. I wish they taught like this at our postings but they just don’t care about teaching us. Thank you for posting this video Sir.
I remember my MBBS days. In wards i also have this kind of ward round with our visiting surgeons and Visiting physicians. Now I am rebrushing my knowledge. This kind of ward teaching is absolutely necessary for juniors..
Professor Chinta mani you teach whole India Surgical Postgraduate students not only of Safdarjang. Even many foreign students learn from you. You deserve Padmashri award award from Government of India. You are a true Saint.
During my time in medical school , I was always hide in the back during rounds so I never got asked questions during all my years😂 glad I am done that part of my career
Bedside teaching has gone so poor nowadays (esp post Covid), most rounds are a checklist for ward works even by senior consultants. Pleading to get CT/MRI scans and references are the main work these days in Govt institutes. Good to see this for a change.
In first part I got a impression that although this Professor is wise, intelligent, having great knowledge but also is short tempered, angry, than I tell myself wisdom comes with arrogance. But in in this 2nd part, what I previously thought about him, is proven completely wrong, It was my mistake in passing a judgement on someone just by viewing a single Short video, I have no doubt that he is very very good teacher, very wise, intelligent, interactive one, those students who are getting lesson, learning under him are really fortunate.

Role model Gentleman Professor Dr Chintamani who is worth emulating across disciplines who has a listening ear for his Postgraduates avidly listening to him.😊👏
I watched this video for fun, , because You Tube recommended it to me, I am into IT . After this video I went and researched about Sigmoid Volvulus, now I have terrible pain in my abdomen , and started hiccuping , I really felt for this poor patient on the bed …. God please heal him 🙏🏾🙏🏾..so be it..so be it..so be it
If anyone can help... I'm dnb sx resident 2 from Bombay,we don't have such luxury in rounds as bqz of being in corporate hospital Drs r always in hurry, so how can one be a good surgeon in this case?? Obviously i know theory reading is required but it's easier to grasp it when discussed in this manner...and also these majority of these students are interns, JR1 or jr2 ??
I don't know that why all related to to engineering Sigmoid valve we have studied sigmoid functions in Artifical Intelligence and Schema in Mysql 😂😂. Don't worry docs we will low your pressure in incoming 10 years all the operations will be done by Artificial Intelligence Robots.😂
